Large Country Home with summer pool and a hot tub.

Large country home close to town with a summer pool and a hot tub. It's a beautiful house with plenty of space. It has 6 bedrooms, one of which is a large dormitory room, 4 bathrooms and a full acre of land.

The backyard has a summer pool, playground, volleyball court and a Shelter house.

The house and backyard are only accessed by guests. The property is a full acre, but is part of a larger 35 acre property which the owner will often allow guest access to if requested.

I am available as needed, but guests will have full privacy. Their is a keyless lock, so guests can easily arrive and depart as they want.

Parties are allowed, but I must be notified and give approval.

The owner lives in another building on the property, next to the house. Guests have full privacy in the house and backyard, the owner does not use either during guest stays. He does keep his trucks in the front of the property and is often around, sometimes with his workers as he runs a tree trimming business.

It is has fencing and trees around parts of the property, but parts of the backyard can bee seen by neighbors after the leaves fall.

The dormitory room is a large space in the basement with 2 bunk beds. Their are several small nooks with full beds through the house, these are not counted as bedrooms but are additional beds.

Great place to stay for a large group

We were very happy with our stay here. Plenty of space, kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipment, everything was clean. The hot tub was nice too! I’d definitely stay here again.

Served our purpose

We stayed at the house for our daughter’s wedding reception. We have stayed at nicer Vrbos , but this one was clean and served our purpose for the weekend

Better Than Expected

House was great, had everything we needed. There are many beds, room for 12 plus another 6 in the basement. Large fire pit in back yard, I can’t recall if that was listed on the description. Host was very friendly and wanted to make sure everything was good, we appreciated that he allowed a late checkout Sunday! I would recommend this place, exceeded expectations.

Golf Trip

Nine golfers stayed for three days and played the various courses in the area. Excellent location outside of Bloomington. Plenty of room to relax inside and outside. Pool and hot tub were nice features. Three and a half baths makes everyone happy. Parking was ample for a large group. Spacious and quiet place in the country. Highly recommended for large groups.

Very nice home and back off the road and not bother by anyone.

We were pleased with everything except the one bed downstairs (by the fireplace) was so squeaky the grandchildren had trouble sleeping all night. Every time the one on top or bottom moved it was awful. The next night they slept upstairs on the couch. Some of our adults were a bit too tall for some of the beds but we made it work. Our little ones have turned into teenagers but that is not your fault. Lol We truly enjoyed our stay!!!

Great place for the eclipse!

We spent a long weekend with 14 members of our family for the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024. Weather was perfect and all went well. It was great to have the pool and hot tub, the volleyball court, and the open space. We had beds for everyone, and enjoyed cooking and eating in the house. We did not find the bundt pan, but made do. The location was close to town, and close to places for disc golf, dog walking, and close to groceries. It was a great experience for everyone. A couple things that would improve the stay include -- towel racks in the bathrooms and an electrtic mixer in the kitchen. Also, the cats were a bit annoying.

It was near the end of summer & most large properties were booked, this property was available & could accommodate our large family for a 70th birthday celebration. The house is dated but was clean & comfortable. We had to reach out to the property manager twice; once for check in (user error with lock) & once because there was a part of the grill missing. Both times the property manager was responsive & helpful. Although the owner lives/stays on the property it still felt fairly private. The outside quiet hours of 9pm were a bit restrictive & definitely impacted the quality of the stay. A house that accommodates that many people of course there is going to be noise but I didn’t enjoy being the “fun police” telling everyone to quiet down if they wanted to be outside after 9pm. The quiet hours were not in the listing & I would not have rented the property if they were. The second con was actually the biggest for my family. Some found the interior decor to be distasteful at best, offensive at worst. There was a lot of “cotton” decor with references to “cotton pickin”. Every single adult & child (of reading age) mentioned it to me. Conveniently, this decor was not pictured in the listing at all. If it was I absolutely would not have rented this property for the weekend. Not everyone is offended by the same things that offend me & this property may work for you but I would never book again or recommend. I have photos but decided not to post with this review:(

Lots of room for big group

After a mix up in directions, we still got there early. The cleanup crew was wonderful and let us bring in all of our luggage and food for the weekend. Upon seeing no ice or ice cube trays, one of the crew volunteered to get a bag of ice to be waiting when we returned! Lots of bedrooms and linens/towels to go around. When we had a problem with the coffee maker and found no hairdryer, Jonah was there in 30 minutes with new coffee maker, several new hairdryers and blankets and toilet paper galore! He met every need and concern. The house is older and needs some basic sprucing up, especially the backyard. When cleaned up it could be a real asset to the property. Lastly, it’s rather difficult to find the property since it is right on a curve in the road. Having a couple of large reflectors to mark the driveway day and night would fix that. Thanks for the stay!

Owner great, manager absent

Jonah was unresponsive completely. I tried contacting him multiple times through Vrbo with zero response. Keyless entry did not work, horrible storm happening while we're trying to access the home... we were all soaked. Owner arrives and is very apologetic for the weather and loss of electricity. Owner was great. We toughed it out one night and left early next morning. House was an oven with no power. Bloomington was without power three days. We wouldnt have made it the entire stay regardless. Bad timing. Tried contacting Jonah, again, and no response. Not happy... owner was working. This was not his doing. I left the home in tears. You cant imagine how bad we needed this small getaway... do better Jonah

House fits plenty of people and it’s very convenient to IU campus

Great stay at this large country home. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out, grassy area to walk my dog. Very convenient to IU campus.

Friend reunion

We met from the east, west, and the south to share our journeys from the past twenty years since we have been together. It was a wonderful quiet setting to share our memories, laugh, pray, and cry together. Our friendships are renewed and strengthened by our stay. There was a grill to cook our meat and plenty of kitchen utensils and supplies to prepare any food we wanted. There is a large table and sofas in the living room to accommodate people. There are plenty of beds. It would be a great place for children.
