Red Rocks Experience

We had a great stay, it's worth the drive up the mountain for the spectacular views from the patio. House was clean, well-appointed, and had comfortable beds. The check-in process was easy and the host communicated all the details. Highly recommend this home.

Awesome getaway!

This place was absolutely amazing! Far enough up in the mountains but not too far from other cities/towns. Heidi was great to communicate with one of the issues we had which was that the master bedroom fireplace did not work which was definitely a bummer, I guess the owners were not sure why it wasn’t working and weren’t going to be able to fix it during our stay. The only other issue I would say is that the house wasn’t very stocked up on necessities like toilet paper, there were four of us and we ran out fairly quick but good thing there was a Safeway relatively close! Overall if you’re thinking about booking the perfect colorado getaway home… this is it! The house was immaculate, the views are stunning, the beds are so so comfy! and once again communication with Heidi was spectacular, our plane got delayed until later evening and she was extremely understanding letting us checkout at a later time. Great home, definitely will be coming back! Thank you!!

Spacious with beautiful views, but....

The pros: This property is very large, and surrounded by woods with beautiful views all the way to downtown Denver from the primary suite. There is plenty of dinning space and seating for a large group. The hot tub works beautifully. The check-in process, because they are using an agency, is very easy. The cons: While very clean overall, the grout in the shower in the primary suite is heavily stained and in immediate need of a redo, and was unexpected in a house of this caliber. There are signs in the bedrooms asking that guests not have any food/drink in the bedrooms -- this seems overly restrictive to not be allowed to have coffee in the morning in your own room while on vacation. There is limited kitchenware for a house that sleeps so many -- we ended up buying a set of drinking glasses for 8 and leaving them at the house. As indicated in another review, the fireplaces, though advertised as a feature, do not actually work. While she had been responsive about an earlier question, when we reached out to the local contact to inquire about them, we never heard back. The house would also benefit from additional outdoor seating to enjoy the decks.

Beautiful home and view but VERY hot and insufficient window coverings

Positives: The house and views are beautiful. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen was easy to use and had plenty of appliances and cookware. Negatives: there is NO a/c and this is not advertised. There are also no ceiling fans (except one in the living room) and no box fans. It was over 90 degrees when we arrived and we opened all the windows but it didn’t get very cool even late at night. The window coverings are sheer material and the bright sun and heat comes in full force beginning at 5:30 in the morning. Especially in the master bedroom which faces east. It was so hot and bright that we couldn’t sleep past 5:30. We ended up leaving early because of this. If the house just had fans and light blocking window shades in the bedrooms, it would be so much better. When we asked about the a/c we were told to let “Mother Nature” help…. Mother Nature only helped to heat the house and it would barely get below 80 degrees at night indoors due to the lack of circulation (no fans) It would have been good to know ahead of time and I would not have booked it had I known the issues with the heat and light.

We were disappointed to hear of your discomfort. It is typical for homes in the mountains not to have AC as they are generally not needed. We do have the ceiling fan, which is usually sufficient, however, we will look into providing some box fans for our future guest's comfort. Thank you for sharing your feedback. We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

Great house and great views, just be prepared if you stay during the winter.

Myself and five friends stayed at this place, the house was great and spacious, there were enough bathrooms to accommodate everyone, and despite the VERY COLD conditions, the house kept everyone warm and safe. I slept in the office, which had the couch/bed, and even that was a good sleep. Also, the desk and outlets let me get a little work done during one day, too. A couple things to be aware of: 1. If you're staying during the winter time, a 4WD vehicle is an absolute must. We didn't have one on this trip, and we were only able to make it as far as .3 miles from the house, and that was with both the neighbors and someone hired by the management company (named Geoff) plowing the road. The only way we were able to make it was luck; we were able to hop into Geoff's and another neighbor's trucks and they shuttled us up to the house. 2. We had planned to go to dinner Friday evening, but because we knew our car couldn't make it up and down the roads, we decided on scheduling an Uber to take us up and back. Either because of the weather, the time of year, or the area, there were no Ubers or Lyfts willing or available to take us to dinner, so we ended up just making due with the groceries we had for the entire weekend. So, again, make sure you have your own transportation and plan accordingly. 3. The place does have Wi-Fi, but internet speeds aren't great. I mean, it's a home on top of a mountain, so naturally, you're not getting fiber speeds and expect accordingly. Just be aware if you're at a place where speed/latency matters to you. Also, I JUST had a bar or two of cell service (AT&T), but others had Verizon and had little or no service. Again, not a complaint, just something to be aware of. Overall, it's a great place and we'd definitely come back. Just a few things worth keeping in mind.

Amazing and clean property!

This property was absolutely amazing! VERY clean! The location was great, a short trip to Evergreen which had anything you could need. Red Rocks was also just a short 30 minute drive. Would highly recommend this place and would come back!

Mountaintop Getaway

The property is on top of a mountain and the views are amazing, especially from the master suite. The house was clean, everything seemed new and well maintained, and the bear decor was charming. Some minor improvements could be made - The property could use more towels (especially if you use the hot tub) and we never could figure out the outside lighting. We only stayed two nights; if we had stayed longer, we would have found the kitchen amenities a little lacking as to variety of pots and pans. Curtains on the doors to the room off the foyer would have been nice since we did use that room as a bedroom. Those little things aside, I would recommend this house to anyone staying in Evergreen and would happily stay there again. Thank you.

Beautiful home, beautiful views.

This home is BEAUTIFUL. The master bedroom views are spectacular and I didn't want to leave. Home had all the amenities, I would recommend more towels but that's literally the only thing I could suggest. Everything is new (furniture etc), you will definitely enjoy your stay here.
