Sea Escape- Near Halifax, Sleeps 6 with ocean views.

'Sea Escape' offers a quiet and relaxing environment to enjoy the beautiful Harbour and Atlantic Sea Views, yet within driving distance to Halifax and the Airport and other attractions.
We are situated on the famous Sambro loop, just south of Halifax, which also includes the delightful and stunning Crystal Crescent Beach (only 10 mins away).
We are within driving distance to many of Nova Scotia's attractions such as Peggy's Cove, Lunenbourg and many other tourist destinations .
Sea Escape is ideal for couples and small families in the recently refurbished upstairs accommodation which offer amazing views of the Harbour and the Atlantic ocean only a few yards away.
Come and Relax and Enjoy the new public Wharf only a short stroll away.
The area offers many trails and hikes and suites all travelers whatever the reason for your visit.
We are usually around if you require any information of assistance but usually leave guests to enjoy the peaceful environment to explore on their own.

Please not that we do have cameras on the outside to capture the amazing sunrises overlooking the Harbour and the occasional animal such as Deer, Racoons and Bear that have been seen in the area.

We loved our stay at Sea Escape. The view of the harbor in the morning from the bedroom in is unmatched. It was a perfect size for the two of us and we appreciated the location -- not far from sights like Peggy's Cove or from the Halifax waterfront but also in a quiet area away from traffic. The hosts were very helpful, especially when we had questions.

Wonderful, wonderful and wonderful

Our stay here was amazing. Our hosts Rachel and Dom were absolutely awesome. Very accommodating and very knowledgeable about the area. Only 20 minutes from Halifax, you can enjoy the quiet of rural Nova Scotia or the hustle and bustle of Halifax. We would definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to visit Nova Scotia again

The place is really clean and the views of the bay from the room were breathtaking. Also being able to have a meal on the dock and watching boats in the bay was very relaxing. I would stay there again.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay at this very neat and lovely place. It's quiet, close to the Halifax, and within 3 mins walking distance to the wharf, making it perfect for fishing whenever you want. The owners are incredibly nice and responds quickly to any questions. Highly recommend!

Quiet escape

The rooms were very clean and it was a beautiful, quiet area. However, I wish some of the description had been more clearly detailed, such as it being on the second floor. Nonetheless, the hosts were extremely nice, and it was a fun trip, despite some unfortunate weather.

Cute and quaint

Perfectly situated on the edge of Halifax only a 20 min drive away. This cute little house has great views of the Harbour ftom the one room and is quite cozy. Perfect for 2 friends getting away for R&R and doing research at the same time

Great Location and Gracious Hosts

The property was clean and as advertised and the location was ideal for exploring the south shore or quick trips into Halifax. Dominic and Rachel are gracious hosts who did everything to make our stay memorable. While we were there, they offered suggestions for activities and tips for sight-seeing as well as made sure that we were comfortable. They were quick to respond to any questions prior to the trip as well.

Ketch Habour in October

Ketch Habour is a beautiful little community. The view from our rental was amazing! We could see the ocean out the main bedroom. The rooms were lovely and easily accommodated two children and three adults. There were even toys for the kids! The hosts were extremely welcoming and informative of what was available in the area. We would love to return!

Place was great, walking distance to pier. A bit of a drive for supplies. Lots of room for everyone including 1.5 bathrooms. Was quite hot when we arrived after a very long drive, no AC was not great thing for us, but lucky it cooled down a bit making sleeping better later on. Could hear other people in other unit below us from our bedroom when trying to sleep. Would have liked a washer/dryer in the unit to freshen towels etc. The Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Our host was lovely. She provided suggestions that we appreciated. The place was clean and the beds comfortable. The kitchen and bedrooms are upstairs which was fine with us, but may not be for some. The kitchen area and fridge are small which posed a bit of a challenge because there were five of us.

Amazing location and hosts

We stayed for a week and enjoyed our stay in Ketch Harbour. The place was very clean, tidy and had everything that was needed for a comfortable stay. The location is very close to the harbour and there’s a beautiful ocean view from the bedroom. There are lots of other coves and bays nearby to explore as well. Rachael and Dominic are amazing hosts and are very helpful and welcoming. They both have good recommendations for places to see in and around Ketch Harbour and Halifax. I highly recommend their place at Ketch Harbour. Thanks again!

Cozy and welcoming apartment

My 17 year old son and I stayed at the apartment while visiting universities in the Halifax area. It was wonderful to be able to have easy access to the city while also being able to retreat to the amazing beauty of Ketch Cove. The apartment is comfy, has great views and everything you need for a stay. Dominic and Rachael are about the nicest people you will ever meet, and they were very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. Highly recommended.

Wishing we could have stayed longer!

Dominic and Rachael have a charming spot with a stunning view in Ketch Harbour. We were excited to find a Vrbo that was both available for a single night (since we were booked into another spot the following night), and had a view of the ocean for my partner who was travelling and seeing the East Coast for the first time. I was really pleased with the timely and friendly correspondance that Dominic started as soon as we confirmed the reservation, and I found they were very easy to reach through the booking and staying process. At check-in, we had Dominic greet us in person - he and his family live in the adjoining and below units of the house that contains this upstairs rental unit. We loved the easy access to a picturesque public wharf just down the road and within view from the property. Dominic was generous enough to encourage us to take a shortcut through his front yard to access the sunset view, which really helped us feel at home and less awkward as we hadn’t realized the rental property was a unit within a family home. We could see why people book longer term rentals at this spot for its amazing location and beautiful bedroom view. Come prepared to make meals using a toaster oven/air fryer, induction hub and microwave as there is not a full kitchen. We can’t wait to come back to enjoy the kayaks when we have more time! Be sure to mention your interest in any of the advertised amenities ahead of time to ensure you get to access to them if you’re shorter on time.

The accommoadtion and Ketch harbour area is great for getaways.... It is close to the ocean/harbour views, close to the famous Crystal Crescent Beach, yet close enough to Halifax and other shopping areas and places of interest. We are based on the Sambro loop which has many trails, and experiences to offer. Other popular areas of interest such as Peggys cove, Lunenburg, Chester and Mahone Bay can be visited by car. You can relax and enjoy the ocean views, large garden, BBQ and stroll down to the newly rebuilt public wharf. We have had numerous birds visit us including Humming birds. There is something for everyone!
