Wonderful place !

Our stay on blue jay lane was wonderful. Lovely accommodations! We will definitely be back! Short drive to skiing. Home has great layout. Owners are very sweet and accommodating. Kitchen is very well stocked. We went in January and plan to return again in summer or fall as well as again next January ! Highly recommend!

Blue Jay was awesome!

Every year, we look for a rental unit that can comfortably house three different families at the same time. This house did a great job of giving us our private space, along with a large and welcoming communal space. The house itself was very clean and very well stocked. It was convenient to all of the activities that we were interested in, and yet, it had a very secluded feeling. I would strongly recommend that anyone get the golf cart rental along with this unit, because it is very interesting to drive around this community and see all the different ways that people have created their mountain retreats. We are all born and raised in Florida and some years it is rather frightening to take these mountain roads and steep driveways to get to our rental. That was not the case with Bluejay, as the roads were fairly level and did not cause us any concern. We visited in the middle of winter and it was very nice, but we also think it would make a great house to visit in the spring or summer or even in the fall with the leaves changing. This is one house we would definitely consider visiting again.

Perfect location!

We chose this cabin because it was close to the ski resorts and big enough for our large family. Lots of space to hang out and watch movies and the deck was very big for grilling and enjoying the outdoors. The location is in a subdivision with houses close-by but the corner lot gives you the feel that you’re secluded with a lot of privacy. We used the golf cart but it was really too cold to enjoy it for the entire week. The beds were all very comfy and plenty of towels for everyone to use. I highly recommend this rental to anyone wanting a fun and relaxing, very clean and spacious cabin with a mountain feel!

A perfect getaway

A Fantastic Week!

A beautiful property that is very well appointed and very clean. Sad the dates we have planned for our family to return next year the house is not available. Having the golf cart use was also great!

Immaculate and peaceful mountain cottage.

I was so pleased with how CLEAN and well maintained this property was. We were able to relax and unwind immediately. We spent a lot of time on the back deck playing cards and listening to the birds. The beds and linens were fantastic. The kitchen was fabulously equipped for all of our meals and the golf cart was a bonus for getting around. The teens enjoyed the community pool, trails and game room. We especially enjoyed the 4th of July festivities. I would recommend this home to others and would definitely stay here again.

AMAZING PLACE!!! Everything was EXCELLENT!!! Better imposible!! Highly recommend this place!

The house was fully equipped and very clean. We were 8 adults and there was space enough for everybody: big dining table, big and comfortables sofas in Living room. The Christmas decorations were very nice, the neighborhood is quiet and you are near everything. If you are coming nearby, you should stay here!!! Thanks Beth!!! We have great holidays!!!

Christmas Cottage Perfection

Mountain trip in oct 2020

The property was great but I expected upstairs not a downstairs..we came in from the parking area on the top floor...but if we parked under the deck it would have been an upstairs...the rooms were great and well kept, along with the deck just need a little more covering or retractable awning, suggestion.

Great Mountain Adventure

We had a Wonderful week! The home was perfect for our Girl's Mountain Adventure. It was centrally located to the area attractions such as hiking , wineries, shopping, Blue Ridge Parkway, nice restaurants, etc. We got such a homey feeling when we walked in the door. It was as if you were staying in a tree house. The house offered all the amenities that anyone could want. The owners were easy to correspond with to make sure you had everything you need. We really had a great time in the evenings sitting around the fire pit on the very spacious deck, and cruising the neighborhood and taking in the sights on the golf cart. Such Sweet Memories! I highly recommend this property for a nice Mountain Get Away!

Wonderful retreat

This was a wonderful home in the most ideal setting. We did multiple great trails (Carver's gap was our favorite) and then lounged on the deck watching hummingbirds and enjoying the breeze. The kitchen had everything we needed to make full dinners to enjoy with family. We were looking for an escape from the heat, but this was even more delightful than we anticipated.

Home away from Home!

Beth and her family were great host. We communicated easily and they made us feel welcomed. There house is in a great location. Close to many things to do. The house is in a great community with lots of amenities. But what we enjoyed the most is that when you walk into the house, there are so many windows and all you see is the trees and no neighbors. We loved sitting on the deck and having cocktails and making s’mores for the kids. We highly recommend this house if you’re looking to feel relaxed and at home. You won’t be disappointed.
