The home is in a beautiful location and was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the setting, but our stay was significantly affected by two issues.First, the listing did not disclose that the home has no air conditioning. You can say this is my fault for assuming, but having lived through summers in NC for my entire life, this is an expectation.During a summer stay, this is an important amenity for many travelers. We only learned there was no A/C after arriving and contacting the host. While we were told that opening the doors and using the ceiling fans would create a cross-breeze, the home was still quite warm (76-80 degrees) during the day, making it uncomfortable. Also, we heard air conditioners running at adjacent properties throughout our stay.Second, I texted the local contact listed for the property when we arrived and never received a response during our stay. Fortunately, our questions were not emergencies, but having a responsive local contact is something guests reasonably expect. This is a lovely property in a great location, but I believe the listing should clearly disclose the lack of air conditioning and ensure that the designated local contact is responsive so guests know what to expect.
