The Camp House

Centrally Located in the heart of Turkey Point, The Camp House is a cozy, fully renovated beach bungalow nestled directly across the street from the Turkey Point beach! You are steps away from a day on the sand or optionally, a lazy day of people watching and soaking up the sun on your own front porch. For a quiet break from the action we welcome you to enjoy the backyard, tucked away and ideal for outdoor bbq/dining and a campfire within our sprawling fully fenced yard ideal for privacy and young children to play. Happy beach vibes provide you with a true summertime experience including mini-putt, an arcade, a playground, a variety of bars and restaurants including the infamous Turkey Point hotel within a minutes walk! Our cozy nook is also located within minutes of The Turkey Point Conservation Area, Long Point Eco-Adventures, Turkey Point Water Sports and BAER Fishing Adventuress. On a rainy day you can find yourself within a short 5-10 minute drive from The Cider Keg Farm Market or Burning Kilm Winery with some surprise quaint roadside markets along the way for fresh fruits and veggies. For your quintessential beachouse resting post, we welcome you to The Camp House!

Perfect beach getaway

Girls getaway

Had a wonderful time at this cottage. Has everything you need and more. Great location for walking. Very clean and comfortable. Perfect for 4 friends to enjoy some time together. Thanks for letting us stay.

Great house right across from the beach!

Ideal location to have people come and stay for beach walks, close to playground. Worked well for our needs. A bit inconvenient to have to bring sheets, towels and kitchen dish towels, but the house is well stocked with games/activities for the kids, blankets, chairs/seating, to do laundry, soups, paper towels, garbage bags. One final item is that the yard gate is currently quite difficult to open due to the grass hump built up between and either side of the car tracks. It's not impossible to open wide enough to drive through but does take effort. But it is lovely to have the ability to close the gates and have a fully fenced property.

Wedding getaway

Cutest little cottage! We had an issue right off the bat when we realized that bedding and towels werent included (VRBO listing indicates what IS included not what ISN'T and we assumed...) As we live in Alberta and were flying across country for my nephews wedding packing bedding and towels would have been difficult and expensive due to extra bag charges but when we informed our host of the issue they accommodated us with brand new bedding and towels! Soooo appreciated! Otherwise the location couldnt be better with the beach directly across the street and the little BBQ / ice cream hut 2 doors down is amazing! Beds are comfy and the overall cottage - though small didnt feel crowded. Also there were lots of spices and condiments, coffee, etc. Which is a really nice little touch - would totally rent again!

Cozy cottage

This is the second time staying here. We love that it is close to the beach and with welcoming neighbours. This time the cottage wasn’t really clean (food/ crumbs and Lego under the couch, baby spoon beside fridge, crumbs in the drawers/ cupboards and items just tossed in wherever, hairs in the shower) and there was dog/pet hair inside on rugs and outside the cottage, including a pile of dog poo in the backyard. For someone with allergies to animals this is not good, especially given no pets are allowed. Maybe this was from the previous people that stayed or something else happened? It is a great location if you don’t mind the beach traffic, and the cottage is big enough without feeling we were walking over each other with our group of 6. Despite vrbo was experiencing technical issues, the host did take the extra steps to text us to answer some questions we had. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and can certainly overlook the things above, and be understanding that things happen so we will remember the positive of family fun together at the cottage!

Best Location in Turkey Point

This is not a cottage but a beautiful beach house. The view from the extensive windows in the great room look out over the beach. Every morning there was a spectacular view of the sunrise. When part of the family went for a swim, it still felt like we were all together as we could see them from the large front deck. Lots of seating and sleeping space. Very tastefully decorated. All the amenities a family need including a washer/dryer. Have already booked for next year. Thank you Jody and Justin.

Little Beach House

This little cottage met our expectations and then some. Such a cute little home, but the perfect size for my family and I. Couldn’t have asked for a better location and view of Lake Erie! The beach right across the street was a huge bonus especially with little ones. The house was very clean and welcoming…also we loved the space out back and having enough chairs as an options to eat outdoors. Perfect way to bring our summer of 2022 to an end. Thank you Jody and Justin can’t wait to be back next summer ☺️

Fantastic getaway!

We thought the property was very well kept and extremely spacious. We had some rain and even though we had 7 people for dinner, there was ample room and no one felt cramped. That evening we played some of the board games available and had a great time. For the four of us it was huge. We all agreed that 4 couples could easily stay without tripping over each other. The view from the front porch is fantastic. The backyard area with deck, dining area, and fire pit is amazing as well. We only booked for 3 days, next time it’s a week for sure! (I did find it odd that many of the Turkey Point businesses don’t open until Thursday? Even in August?). Five stars for sure! Great job Jody and Justin!

Beautiful cozy cottage

Had a great experience at this cottage. The cottage had an excellent location and view. I would definitely recommend to others looking for a cottage at turkey point as it has everything you need for your family.

Wonderful Experience

My family and I had a wonderful time at the beach house. It was very neat and clean and there was enough space for the 9 of us. Everything was in walking distance which was plus. Communication with Jody was effortless. She was prompted and got back to me within minutes. If you are looking for a relaxing and quiet time with your family, I highly recommend the beach house. I will for sure be booking this again in the future.

Relax, put your feet up and enjoy!

Just like home! This cottage was perfect for a family that likes to be busy with things close by, it was close to the beach, restaurants, mini putt and the hiking trails weren’t far either. Communication with the owners was prompt and they went well beyond to ensure we were happy and comfortable. The cottage was clean and had lots of space outdoors to continue the fun. Outside was mainly sunny areas but the front porch has great seating and an umbrella to provide a bit of shade, so you can still look out out at the lake and people watch. Lol The only negative we found was the check out time here is at 10am, where lots of other cottages are at 11am, so we did feel a bit rushed and would have rather ended our vacation on the same relaxed pace as we had our whole stay, but that’s the only negative! We will definitely return again!

As beach lovers we spend most of our time in the summer exploring local beaches and teaching our kids to enjoy the beauty of beaches and nature that falls at our doorstep here in Southern Ontario. This cozy cottage was family owned for years and was, what we can only assume, a hub of summertime enjoyment and family memories. We were thrilled to provide it with a fresh facelift and begin building memories for our family and providing the opportunity for our renters to do the same!
