My family and I had a great time. We were out visiting family so we couldn’t stay in the college as much as we have liked, but however, it is a nice cottage seem to be very well maintained cottage is spacious.

Nice getaway

Very good property on the lake. The boat dock is very nice. The house was clean with nice amenities. There is road noise from a nearby highway. One of the patio fans was noisy but the patio is nice. The dock and the patio is where we spent most of our time. For us four guys, the toilet paper could use an upgrade. This is our third time to visit.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The house had really nice tasteful beach decor. The ducks came to visit each morning. The location is an easy drive to lots of places to eat out or get your own to make at the house. C.

Nice getaway

The is roomy and very clean upon arrival. Nice amenities in bathrooms. Plenty of clean, good towels. We enjoyed the trip. One of the patio ceiling fans was too noisy but we were unable to stop it without stopping the other fan getting turned off too. We adapted. Had a great time. Weather was perfect too.

This rental was perfect for our needs. It was in a great location with easy access to the lake and town. The house was clean and the dock was great for hoping on and off our boat and jetski. The owner was very accommodating and easy to work with. Overall a great experience.

Great location, you can put your boat in and dock it all at once perfect! Very close to stores if you need to grab anything, right on the water great for fishing.

PERFECT Lake House!!!

Beautiful waterfront, lake house and in a great location! The home is beautiful. The air conditioning worked great, it was very clean, and it had a wonderful amenities. We are looking at dates to stay again before school starts! We will not stay anywhere else in lake Brownwood!

The house was beautiful! The weather was perfect so we opened all the windows while cooking breakfast! It was the perfect size for us and the back porch was lovely!

Great house

The house was clean and spacious and well stocked. We had a hiccup with the keyless door lock but the owners were responsive and helped us enter easily. The back patio was great and we enjoyed it despite the yard being overgrown. The only real downside was the lake level. The dock was resting on the ground which made the fishing pretty pop off the dock. Overall it was a good stay and this place would be wonderful with some good rains.

Memories Made

Thank you to our wonderful hosts for sharing this great property! It’s conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood with ample parking and was well lit for our evening arrival. The accommodations were so cute and just as described. We loved reading the owner’s note about the history of the lake house and it’s special family significance. The outdoor areas were very inviting and were quite comfortable in the cool fall air. Kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with basics necessities as noted. Can’t wait to gather there again someday soon to make more wonderful memories!

Beautiful home. Terrible communication.

My mother, her two sisters and I rented this lakeside home for a weekend in their hometown of Brownwood. The ladies all range in age from 83-89, and one is in poor health. We arrived at the house at the appropriate time, only to find that the keypad had not been programmed correctly for our entry. The lockbox on the back door, which also contained a key, did not work for us either. It was 104 outside, so the older ladies sat on the covered patio while I began trying to contact the property managers. NO ONE answered my repeated phone calls or frantic voice mails. I tried calling and texting every number on the reservation as well as emailing the address included, all to no avail. After about 2 hours, we asked the resident across the street if he knew how to get in touch with the owners. He had the phone number for the cleaning lady, and she has my everlasting gratitude for actually answering her phone. She explained that the lockbox had a button on the back to press--unfortunately, the button is covered with a foam pad which prevented us seeing it initially. We were finally able to get into the house around 6:30 pm, after sitting in the heat for several hours. Around 8 pm, one of the owners finally called back to apologize for all the trouble. We talked and they offered a discount for our trouble, which was acceptable. What was NOT acceptable was that it took them so long to reach out. A contact phone number is worthless if no one bothers to answer the phone or respond to a text or email. The house itself is lovely, spotlessly clean and we enjoyed our stay. One caveat--one of the bedrooms does not have access to a bathroom, not usually a big deal, except that this bedroom is only accessible by going outside on the back porch and entering through a door there. If one needs to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, they must go inside the house--which means the back door has to remain unlocked all night.
