Great house and location

We booked this house for our media team to stay close to the lake for the bassmaster classic. We had plenty of beds, baths, and space for everyone. Large kitchen for us to cook for 10 people. We would book again.

Buyer Beware

Not one to actually ever leave a review, but felt this one needed it. Buyer beware while this property has lots of potential it is very tired. Other than cutting the grass no other landscaping is being done. Dead bushes and trees. Weeds growing everywhere. Pool was a mess, dirty with broken pool equipment just laying around. Props to the management company for jumping on getting a pool company out to get it cleaned, but if I did not have a couple days to allow them to get it clean not sure how would have worked for my group. Broken cabinets, essentially 1 towel per person. Bathmats were gross when checked in and had to wash them myself. Beds were comfortable. AC kept up during some very hot days for the most part, but only after I realized the WIFI router was unplugged and the Nest Thermostats would not work until WIFI re-established. I did appreciate the responsiveness management company, but also sensed they know exactly how tired the property is and doing their best to put a good face forward. Like I said lots of potential, but clearly the owner is putting little to no money into the upkeep.

Going Downhill

This property is a little bit rough from when we stayed last year. We had issues both years with poor plumbing and septic issues. I don’t think we will come back.

Family Reunion

The layout of the rooms and restrooms were good for our group. Beds we’re comfortable. There was enough bath towels for the group but no pool towels. Common areas - furniture was somewhat disappointing. It was well used nor was there enough seating for the amount of people the house sleeps. Dining seating was also an issue as we were all adults and wanted to sit together and visit over meals. Needs a little deep cleaning (light switches,carpets etc) Overall we were pleased with the house and found it to be a perfect place for our group in location and sleeping/restroom arrangements. We would definitely stay here again

Disappointed

First I will say, our crowd has been traveling together since 2014 and this is the first negative review I’ve given. We are a large crowd but always leave it nicer than we found it. The AC had not been turned down to prepare for arrival, it was 80°. The home had no extra linens, very few kitchen dishes, the backyard is not kept up (huge tree growing from the foundation right outside patio doors, empty boxes from pool vacuum, diving board broke, etc), not sure the yard had been mowed in two weeks (that really didn’t matter to us though), our feet were almost black from the wood and tile floors in the house, not enough seating to accommodate the # of guests the house holds, etc. I realize finding a large home with private pool is difficult but it’s also very expensive, guests should get what they think they’re getting by the pictures shown. The local company who I spoke to is very courteous and sent a AC technician the minute we called. I don’t think he’s personally seen the lack of outside maintenance or housekeeping—his demeanor on the phone tells me he wouldn’t tolerate this. Very unfortunate, especially for the cost of the home, but we made the best of it and left it better than we found it.

Country Comfort

This home was perfect for our large family getaway. It is spacious, and very well appointed. Everyone said their beds were very comfortable and the kids loved the bunk room! We especially loved sitting on the back porch overlooking the pool and wide expanse of farmland. Our puppy enjoyed the large fenced yard! Our host was quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely book here again!

Family wedding weekend

The house is beautiful and has tons of space for the family to enjoy and relax. We also enjoyed the view of horses in the front and a beautiful sunrise pool side in the back.

Roomy place but lacked enough furnishings

Getting in and leaving was very easy. Unfortunately, the house had a lot of empty space. Not enough furniture for a large group, not enough towels for everyone. No cleaning sponges, brushes..for kitchen, kitchen lacked mixing bowls, spoons for serving … was very sparsely stocked. The Wi-Fi, as noted had issues. Outside was not clean, tons of trash leaves, cans, bottle caps and cigarette butts around pool, and front entrance. A few doors were broken, and didn’t shut properly. Overall it was a good house, just missing a lot of things that would have made it a better stay. Expensive for what it was, given the lack of amenities.

Numerous disappointments!!!

Location and # of rooms were the only positives. 1. Pool: Upon arrival, pool was dirty, murky, and not chlorinated. Pool deck had broken beer bottles, cigarette butts, and beer cans all around. We had to clean all this up. Being certified pool operators, we maintained the pool ourselves and purchased tests strips and chlorine in order to use it on Saturday. Most homes with a pool have towels you can use. This one didn’t. 2. Playscape: had broken boards, weeds and stickers Was not usable. 3. Kitchen: not fully stocked. No dish towels to use so we had to go buy some. The ice maker needs filters changed and needs cleaning. 4. Bathrooms: no soap in dispensers. Some locks did not work. No floor mats in some of the bathrooms. 5. Carpets: carpet in living room had not been cleaned after guests before us. Carpet was crusty and stained in areas. Bedroom carpets seemed ok. 6. Price: Higher for this home than some of the others we looked at but it seemed to have better location and amenities. Price was definitely not worth it given all the work we had to do. 7. Overall: I think we cleaned/maintained more than the management did. Given the state of the overall property, we opted to wash the sheets before sleeping on them. I texted the management Friday night but they didn’t respond until Saturday night. Too little too late. Needs more attention probably due to the previous guests but they needed to put in the effort of cleaning to make our stay better.

Country comfort

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. We especially loved sitting out on the back porch looking across to the pool to expanse of farmland beyond. The beds were comfortable and the kids loved the bunk room. It was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing House

We were in town for a family wedding. We could not have asked for a better house. It had plenty of room and the air hockey table was a hit. We would definitely recommend this home.

Good experience overall. Was under the impression there were four bathrooms with showers inside. One for each bedroom. There was not. Internet is really poor. Good size and in good shape overall

Church Retreat

Beautiful accommodation for a small group of family friends. The amenities and pool made the whole trip worthwhile! The location was perfect and very easy to drive back and forth (if needed a day trip). We will definitely go back and recommend too!!!

Great stay

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at this property. Rooms were clean and big enough for all of us 16 in all. We also had fun with the pool. The only drawback is the Wi-Fi. It was too slow that watching Netflix was impossible. I would have given it five stars if the Wi-Fi worked well.

We had a terrific time! House is large and well stocked. This was mostly a quick get-a-way for our teens, plus some of their friends, before school activities start taking up all their time. The pool was obviously a hit, as was the large open space in the living room...it allowed for several gamers to be on their Oculus all at one time! Only issue was the pool slide, we never got the water pump for that part to function, but that didn't slow anyone down. All of the bedrooms are comfortable; well, with the exception of the "bunkbed room". Those mattress are definitley intended for small/lite weight bodies. Late at night, once things quiet down, be sure to step outside and look up. The night sky is fantastic from here as there's no haze from nearby big city lights to interfer with stars!!! We would definitely consider staying again.

Perfect Staycation!

Perfect for family gatherings- recently updated modern farmhouse with high-end finishes! Stunning kitchen with all the bells and whistle‘s including an icemaker! Amazing pool with outdoor shower, outdoor bath, waterfall and pool slide. All the beds were super comfy. Beautiful property- we warn you though... you won’t want to leave!!!
