We invite you to experience one of Papakea's finest top floor, end units K-401. (Fun Fact: Papakea means crest of the wave in Hawaiian) This penthouse unit underwent a complete renovation in 2022. Each bedroom features a beautiful queen size bed with premium Purple mattresses. Split Air Conditioning and 65" smart TV's. The living room has a beautiful Pacific Ocean view with soaring vaulted ceilings, Air Conditioning and a 75" smart TV. The living room sofa has a pull out 5 inch memory foam mattress. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the amenities that would be found in a gourmet kitchen. All new stainless steel appliances. Brand new washer and dryer in the unit. Five Tommy Bahama beach chairs. A Graco pack & play for the little one(s). Upgraded high speed WiFi internet throughout the condo.

An ideal West Maui tropical escape, Papakea Resort is an oceanfront resort on 13 acres of expansive lawns and lush gardens. Guests with a passion for active living enjoy a variety of on-site amenities that include two oceanside swimming pools and two jetted spas, two tennis courts, two pickleball courts, two 12 hole putting greens, Two ocean side cabanas, Multiple pool side gas barbecue grills. Front desk with concierge service, WiFi internet access is available throughout the resort. Within minutes to Duke's restaurant, Whalers shopping village, World class golf courses. There is a nearby beach walk that goes through Ka'anapali. Other popular Maui beaches and hiking areas are only a short drive from the resort.
The Papakea Resort collects upon check in a $50 incidental that would be released to your card when you check out.
The tax is a 17.97% on your nightly room rate and is something the state of Hawaii requires us to collect. No smoking/vaping in the condo or on the lanai (Outside condo in designated area only)

Fantastic Stay!

We loved everything about this property. From the location, amenities, and the little extras, everything was perfect. The Purple beds were so comfy after long days of golfing and snorkeling. The beach chairs, coffee maker, and the washer and dryer were welcome extras. We had fun swimming at the pool, whale and turtle watching, and ‘friendly’ putting course contests at the putting green downstairs. The mai tai party was also a lot of fun! Thank you for a wonderful stay in beautiful Maui. We can’t wait to visit again! Mahalo!

The pictures really say it all. Renovated, very clean, really well stocked with everything you need, good quality bedding, towels and supplies, incredible view, well maintained resort and grounds. Book it, you won’t regret it.

If you found this property and it’s available, just book!

We spent 4 glorious days at this magnificent property and the photos and description don’t do it justice. The owners of this unit spared no expense- all high end fixtures and appliances and we appreciated all the little things such as shampoos, body lotions, sunscreen, coffee and filters, make up wipes, ect that guests may use. We would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat - this was one of our favorite vacation rentals! Tip- we let the kids sleep downstairs and we used the upstairs loft so that if we woke up Early they could sleep in without any noise interference. The ocean views were incredible and we never heard a peep from any of the neighboring guest. We miss it already and can’t wait to visit again!

Grand vacation

Popakea was perfectly located and very comfortable for the 4 of uson our April, 2024 Maui vacation. Great beach walks and property manager was very accommodating and attentive to our needs to adjust dates, allow for late checkout on our fly-away day, and, most importantly, was available on a moments notice to answer any questions we may have had about our vacation rental. I highly recommend Dan and any properties he may be managing.

K401 Penthouse Stay

Owner was very accommodating! Communication was great. Condo was updated and well appointed. We really appreciated having access to nice beach chairs, boogie boards and a cooler. Checkout process was very simple. We did not use the pool or other resort features, so cannot comment about those. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful property!

This property is fantastic! Clean, comfortable, and really well-equipped. We only had a few days on Maui, and this was a great location for exploring the island. The beds (even the sofa bed) and pillows were so comfortable, and I admit I’m picky! We didn’t cook any meals here, but the kitchen was newly renovated and well equipped. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and watching whales breach offshore! Management is also excellent—we had one minor, non-urgent plumbing issue, and someone was out to fix it within hours of calling. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property, or to stay here again if we’re lucky enough to return!

STOP Looking and book this unit

This penthouse unit is beautifully decorated, has modern amenities and has stellar views of the pool and the ocean. You will not be disappointed. The resort is clean and modern, wonderful staff, lovely pools and grounds. We would definitely stay here again. Dan was super helpful and available to us. Thanks for the amazing accommodations!!

Excellent Place for a Magical Trip

The property was perfect for our family of 4’s tropical getaway. The view from the unit is great, property amenities were good, and overall it was a top notch play to stay. Close to local attractions, great pool area, beach access (rocky though). Amazing sunsets each and every night! We’d 100% stay here again.

We had a perfect vacation, the condo was fully equipped, clean, comfortable beds, great views and location second to none, walking distance to best bars and restaurants in the area.

Papakea Penthouse far exceeded our expectations with so many special touches!.

Our stay at K401 Papakea Penthouse far exceeded our expectations and it was such an amazing trip that we could barely bring ourselves to go home! From the moment we stepped foot through the door to the bittersweet day when we had to leave, it was a picture perfect Hawaiian vacation. Luxury linens and bath and beach towels, attention to detail in a gourmet kitchen, impeccably clean and appointed. The washer and dryer and all of the appliances are new and enjoyable to use. Every night we went to bed with a front row seat to one of Maui’s incredible sunsets and every morning we woke up to the unbelievable sight of two of Hawaii’s other islands, Molokai and Lanai all from our lanai and the grounds of the Papakea. The condo itself is spacious yet homey and our family of four was able to enjoy each other’s company while having opportunities to be by ourselves (something I’m sure we can all appreciate whilst traveling). We received excellent recommendations from Dan when it came to dining out (Star Noodle is a must), but if you’re the type who likes to cook on vacation, have no fear, there’s also a local grocery store (which also sells spam musubi, a local delicacy that cannot be missed when staying in Hawaii). The more active members of our family also greatly enjoyed the nearby “Beach Walk”, a six mile loop which takes you from Papakea all the way down the boardwalk to shopping and restaurants which we would never have known about otherwise. Great hosts, communication, beautifully appointed condo with all of the extras. Thanks for sharing this treasure with us!

Great property and location

My family and I stayed at this papakea resort in July; it was a great time and a wonderfully maintained property (super clean, well stocked, and great grounds). If you are doing a lot of activity near Lahaina, it’s also a great location. Property: super clean and recently updated. Linens were high quality, kitchen was well stocked, and TVs were easy to use (we just airplay from various apple devices, which worked easily). One suggestion: all 3 TVs had the same Roku name, so we occasionally surprised our kids after they went to bed by starting to stream to their tv. Not a big issue. Closets were well stocked with beach toys and supplies Resort amenities: we only used the pool, which the kids enjoyed. Nice hot tub. The mini golf and other games looked fun, but we never got around to it. Location: worked great for us. There’s a supermarket and some good trucks about two minutes away (walkable for everyone except our 2yr old). Lahaina is definitely a bit of a drive if you’re trying to reach stuff beyond Kihei, but we arranged for a luau in Labaina, a sunset cruise out of Kihei, and did some of the north shore activities while staying here - and it was perfect. Overall - highly recommended. Dan and Daniela were super responsive and even met us to hand off some items we left behind.
