Great get away

Everything we needed was right there. Host was very responsive to needs and questions. The neighbourhood was beautiful. The house was incredible and we really enjoyed our time there.

The property was fabulous for family and/or groups. We had a team in San Antonio for a National competition and this house met all our needs. They went above and beyond our expectations in hospitality and amenities offered. We are booked again for next year and highly recommend.

Spacious and friendly

Our stay felt welcoming and spacious. The house provided more than enough space, beds, dishes, utensils, towels and breakfast supplies for our family. The house has a unique decorative style which made it the more appealing to us! The property manager did an amazing job at keeping contact with us and was very prompt to respond to our questions.

Excellent for large groups

This house is large enough to host multiple families with plenty of space for entertainment. The hosts were the best we’ve come by in all our years of renting homes for vacation. They were super sweet, attentive, and a joy to meet. It is an older home that is very spacious, well decorated, overstocked with all the things you could think of, and a great size pool. We would definitely rent this property again.

Great Place to reconnect

We searched for a rental that could be both a somewhere we could stay as well as a place to host an intimate party for our Mother who was turning 80. The house is perfectly set up for a large group and was a nice home to celebrate the Birthday. Host family was very kind and generous, and welcomed us. House is close to Sea World and easy 20 minute drive to downtown. Thanks for everything!

Labor Day weekend to SEAWORLD

When we first arrived in the property the house felt so closed in with all the plants everywhere. We found a lot of of areas that were dirty but did have alot of sleeping space for tha whole family. When I normally rent a place we like the whole place including the refrigerator to store all food we would be cooking , this one was full of personal items as if someone was just there . Swimming pool was nice but again there was alot of plants everywhere which blew into tha pool so owner came back to clean.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: - We're disappointed to hear that our home did not meet your expectations, we take great pride in providing our guests with a 5-star experience. - We use a cleaning service to have the home professionally cleaned before each guest's arrival. We are committed to providing our guests with a safe environment in accordance with the protocols set forth by the Dept of Health to avoid COVID-19; from in-house sanitation, hygiene, and infection protection. We implement the highest standard of sanitation and cleanliness on our property. All surfaces in every room are treated with commercial-grade disinfectants. Our linens and towels are washed, sanitized, and handled with quality care. - When you reached out about food items left in the refrigerator we promptly responded, and removed some of the items but you asked for us to leave some items for you to use and we had thought the matter resolved. We hope that you also enjoyed the charcuterie boards we welcomed you with as a token of our appreciation for choosing to stay with us. - We use professional photographers so we can be sure that our images accurately reflect our home and guests can decide before booking if the decor meets their expectations. We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!

Amazing

The Old Lake house was all we hoped it would be! The pool, gameroom, and house itself, were all as advertised. Owners were wonderful hosts, they wanted to make sure we had a great time. They provided breakfast items, fruits, drinks, all condiments and kitchen utensils you could think of were there. Bathrooms were even stocked, plenty of toilet paper, shampoo & conditioner for my group of 18 people. They knew we would have a late check in and graciously prepared a delicious chicken salad and cheddar pimento cheese for a late night snack. Everyone loved the space and of course the pool was a hit. If we have the opportunity, we will certainly book another trip there. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

5 families-including 6 13 year old boys

This property was PERFECT for our needs. We had 5 families with ages ranging from 2 to adults. With 6 13 year old boys, you would think we'd have been crowded and on top of eachother. However, that was never the case! This house was so spacious and had so many great seating spots, that it truly never felt like there were that many people in one house!The bed/room arrangements were perfect for each family to have a room, plus a room for all of the boys to bunk together! The backyard was an amazing oasis for us parents that were seeking a getaway amidst a state soccer tournament. The host and manager were absolutely the best. They prepared delicious charcuterie that welcomed us, and provided many breakfast items - which really helped fuel our boys for early morning games. The location of the house was perfect! We felt very safe, yet still close to attractions. I just cannot say enough about how perfect this experience was! If you are looking for something in this area- the Old Lake House is the way to go. If we ever get the chance/need again, we will 100% book this location!

Sweet stay for a nice getaway

The entire process of booking was very easy. We all loved the house. It was spacious and served all of our needs. We were quite impressed with how well stocked the house was with everything we needed to cook. I mean, they have cake pans of every size and everything you need to cater a meal for a large group. It was quite impressive. Not to mention, we were provided a few provisions to go along with our stay. Carlos was very responsive and just overall seemed to be a very nice person. Apparently, San Antonio has a feral cat issue and as a person who is severely allergic to cats and also just doesn't like them, in general, I appreciated the heads up about the issue and what not to do. It is apparent that past guests have fed them because they did try to enter the property more than once. I only rated this 4 stars because the water in the showers don't get hot like we like it. However, I contacted Carlos and it is an issue that he is attempting to resolve. If we return to San Antonio any time soon, we will definitely look into booking this stay again. Such a fun and eclectic house. Thanks for making our weekend getaway that much better with a great stay.

Magical time in a beautiful property

We rented this home for my mother’s 87th birthday. From the moment I first spoke to Carlos and Mila ( our hosts) I knew I had picked the perfect place. Although at first you may not think much of the neighborhood, let me tell you, this place is a jewel. It is quirky and beautiful at the same time. We designated the room with many beds the “Goldielock room”. All the beds in the house are super comfortable. The house is well stocked for parties or a family reunion Meeting Mila and Carlos was super special. They are amazing and we’re more than attentive to any requests. I loved this place and plan to use it again as many times as I return to San Antonio. Thank you Carlos and Mila. We love you❤️❤️
