Forest and Waves - Meredith Lodging

You’ll have the best of both Northwest worlds in this updated Pacific City home—it’s an easy walk to the beach, yet the property backs up to BLM land, so you can take woodland trails right out of your backyard.

Whether you love watching the sunset over the ocean or seeing sunlight shimmering through trees (or both!), you’ll find Forest and Waves an excellent launchpad for your next coastal adventure. With two king bedrooms (one a primary suite) and a bunk room, it’s easy to invite friends or family to join you.

You’ll love gathering on the plush sectional in front of the stacked-rock fireplace and above-fire TV in the living room, with its large windows to the forest. Dining is a cinch from the newly updated kitchen, with its quartz counters, breakfast bar, stainless appliances, and smart galley layout. A large dining table seats eight, and there’s another dining table on the back patio near the bubbling hot tub. You can walk to the Pelican Pub or the upscale Meridian Restaurant past Pacific City’s new skate park, or walk straight west to the ocean and make your way there via the beach.

You’re perfectly situated to explore the wider coast, as well, with Tillamook and the North Coast in one direction and Lincoln City, Newport, and the rest of the Central Coast in the other. You won’t have to decide whether you prefer the beach or the woods with this versatile home—you’ll get both Forest and Waves!

We’ve stayed here twice and it’s a favorite of ours in Pacific City. Very comfortable home in a wonderful location, with a close walk to the beach and restaurants. They have a lot available for families with young kids and are pet friendly (the fenced yard was a bonus). The only thing that could’ve used improvement was the hot tub cleanliness. The water had a bad odor to it, and wasn’t clear, no chlorine treatment, etc. It definitely needs to be serviced and more often. We were disappointed we couldn’t enjoy using it more but otherwise enjoyed our stay and hope to be back.

Beautiful house, we had an issue with the hot tub having too much chlorine and they sent someone quickly to help lower the levels so we could enjoy it our last night which we appreciated.

Beautiful Home

The house is warm and welcoming. Everything was smooth for check in. The views from the hot tub were great since you get to see everyone's dogs :) perfect dog show. The fireplace also sets the tone for the weekend. You'll love it

Perfect family vacation

This home provided a comfortable place for us to land after a long day of playing at the beach and exploring. We all loved to relax in the hot tub and we appreciated the comfortable beds and cozy atmosphere. Everything was really clean and we loved the convenience of the kitchen supplies, laundry room, the out door faucet to wash off sand, and the towels. Pacific City is an adorable little town and we loved our stay there.

Disappointed in our stay

My family and I were looking forward to a nice, relaxing weekend at the coast and our experience was everything but that. When we arrived for our stay, the home next door was under complete renovation Friday-Sunday all weekend. Parking was difficult due to contractors, the music was blaring all weekend and we asked them to turn it down atleast 3 times during our stay. Hammers swinging, nail guns, saws, etc made relaxing on the patio, in the hot tub or even inside the home next to impossible. Had family leave early due to the continued noise. Had we been notified of this prior, we would have booked a different property. The home was nice, fairly clean but missing items such as bathroom hand towels, dishwasher soap, etc...things that are typically supplied by management for your stay. The hot tub functions did not work, could not control temp, jets or lights which was disappointing. We booked this house due to it being close to town and having a hot tub which we only used once due to the malfunctions. We approached the management company and explained our disappointment, asked for some sort of credit or refund for another stay and it was shot down without any consideration. I'll definitely consider other homes and management companies to rent from in the future.

Great family location

Plenty of space, the hot tub and fire pit were especially welcome especially when it was cold and wet outside it made for a nice quick outdoor escape without having to go anywhere.

The house was beautiful, very clean. Everything we needed for inside because it was a rainy stay. Only one bad thing was we did not have good phone service so it was hard getting a code to get in the house when we got there.

No working Hot Tub

We booked this property specifically for the hot tub and secluded getaway experience. We did not have either. After 7 hours of trying the hot tub was still cold and there was a loud party next door 10 feet away. The party next door was a deck of neighbors looking directly into our patio area. Two stars because the beds were comfy and there are many nice features to this home. Not clean because we found hair in the shower and microwave. We were disappointed and asked for a discounted stay at another place for the next day, but we still not heard back from the property manager after they offered this option to make it up to us. Not a very happy birthday place for me to stay VBRO

Pacific City Stay

Had a lovely time at the property. The area was quiet, the property was nicely updated and clean. Loved the location, hot tub, and walking trail and proximity to the beach. Highly recommend and would stay here again!

Great little weekend spot

Overall a great experience. Don't get there early as your code will not work until a minute or two after your rental agreement starts, which is fine and just caused a little panic. The hot tub is also on a pretty heavily used walking trail without and privacy covers, so be aware of that. The house was incredibly clean, beautiful and comfortable.
