The accomodation was nice. However, the washroom needs work as it gets easily blocked. The owner needs to have a better way to manage this and avoid unnecessary additional costs and inconvenience to the guests.

It's a great place and perfect location in Fairmont. 3 stars , not because it's bad! but because of just a few items... no fan in the 1/2 bath, the BBQ could use some serious love, the third room is connected to the second room and the patio is connected to the neighbors. Not bad just making note. It's a great place for a young family.

Good for a trip with friends

Cute cabin with lots of space for a group of 6. Had everything we needed and was close to a grocery/liquor store. Loved the barbecue, Roku for entertainment when it was raining, and the community.

Wonderful Cabin in Fairmont

We arrived a few days prior to Christmas to a lovely cabin in Fairmont! We wanted to be able to relax and recharge as a family and that’s exactly what we were able to do. Although we didn’t ask about it being decorated for Christmas we were pleasantly surprised to pull up to home decorated inside and out! We arrived about 6:30 so with it being winter it was dark. To anyone reading the reviews, the entrance door is the one on the left when looking at the cabin. There is a sign in the top of the patio doors that I missed in the dark (no fault of the host, just trying to make it simple for anyone else renting!). Zoltan and Livia are wonderful hosts with great communication. Check in and out instructions were clear and easy to follow. A door code was provided the day of and other instructions about the property provided a few days prior. We inquired about a few kitchen items and got a prompt response as well for easy meal planning. The cabin has a well stocked kitchen with cooking supplies/utensils, a lovely wood burning stove, a full size fridge, oven and dishwasher, and many other comforts of home. There is a market grocery/liquor store a few blocks away that was open till 9pm daily, a local coffee and gift shop and the ski hill and hot springs a short drive or walk away. We are already looking at booking a repeat stay and enjoyed every moment.

Disappointed

A family reunion with expectations of "a cabin" ( it was duplex home) on a river ( we never did get to the river and certainly could not see it ) . For the two couples and a single adult I looked for 3 separate bedrooms. One bedroom appeared to be a room to store extra furniture but it did have a bunkbed . It was attached to the second bedroom. It was awkward at night traipsing through the married couples' bedroom to the washroom down the hall. That space could be fine for young children. Three families brought food for 6 days but the refrigerator and freezer were quite full of the host family supplies . Despite the disappointments we enjoyed being together for Thanksgiving . The host was responsive to our questions. The duplex is in a lovely neighbourhood and adjoining tenant was very respectful. It would be a great place for a family with kids.

Beautiful Cabin close to hot springs

The place was perfect for a home base close to Canal Flats where me and my father in law spent a few days hunting. Fairmont Hot springs are 2 mins away away and a walk to the coffee shop is 5 mins. A couple of the best restaurants in town are also within waling distance Zoltan was great host, would stay again anytime we end up in that area.

If you love to spend time in the nature, hiking, kayaking and golfing this is an excellent location to stay. After a productive day you can dip in the Fairmont hot springs which is only 5 minutes drive away. I am pretty sure you'd enjoy it.

We love to spend a few days close to the hot springs and some ski time in the winter. Hikes, golfing, and kayaking is amazing too.
