Built in 1930, this impressive lake front home was beautifully updated in 2015. This will become your go-to home for family reunions and awesome fun with friends after you’ve stayed in this lovely retreat with views and direct access to sparkling Devils Lake. You’re just ten minutes to the beach, but you may think about staying put, given that you have your own private dock, kayaks, hot tub, patio, fire pit, and lawn at this lakefront beauty. There’s plenty of entertainment indoors as well, including seven flat-screen TVs, a media room, bonus room and second kitchen downstairs. Hardwood floors, beautiful finishes and modern sofas will delight your guests. And don’t worry about including additional family and friends—the home has two water heaters, a commercial wi-fi hub, two kitchens and three large gathering spaces indoors. Adults will enjoy the three queen bedrooms and the kids will be delighted with the bunk room with big-screen TV and another upstairs bedroom with four cleverly boxed-in and curtained twin beds with their own plug-ins for electronic devices. The 5,500-square-foot home is situated on nearly an acre, so you'll enjoy space, privacy and all the natural beauty of the lake from the hot tub patio and a sweet deck complete with porch swing. Beautiful view, right on the water. Could be a wonderful house, however... so many problems. Right at check-in had to notify property managers that the light in the stairwell going to the basement didn't work. Was told they'd get back to me but never did. Safety issue. Out-of-use baseboard heaters without shrouds and exposed sharp metal. Safety issue. Exposed metal bed frame that was too long for the mattress. Guest split her shin open going around the bed, also no heat in that bedroom but did find a space heater. Felt area rugs by doors on wooden floors. Very slippery and dangerous. Exposed sheetrock, thermostat hanging off wall, melted and non-functional window coverings in the basement. The basement bathroom toilet bubbled/glugged up into the shower. Took 3 flushes to get liquids/TP down. No shelves in shower, so had to put shampoo/soap on the sink and reach outside shower curtain. Lots of beds, so good for large group. Wonderful setting but the house simply needs A LOT of work.

Beautiful location, needs a lot of TLC

Property manager was highly responsive and took care of things quickly when we reached out. A new grill was waiting at the property for us after I called to ask if there would be a working grill there. In addition, I placed a call and asked that tree branches and shrubs which were overgrown around the driveway be taken care of because they were scratching our cars and it was taken care of quickly. But the overall condition of the property is not great. Broken glass & beer bottles in the water by the dock, hence you really can't step into the water, retaining wall partially crumbled, weeds covering much of the stairs leading to water. Game room equipment not really useable with pool table not level and ping pong table missing key equipment. Table on patio was unstable and the small AC units supplied for upstairs room really don't keep up on warm days.

House was fine but definitely not as good as pictured

The yard was very overgrown, bank was an extreme safety issue. Caution tape broken glass and concrete crumbling. Basement smelled very musty. Trash compactor didn’t work. Bbq out of service. Mirror missing from a wall upstairs with hardware brackets sticking out of the wall. Outlets in the small bunks should have outlet covers when being that close to sleeping for kids. One outlet most definitely was not up to code. Mattress upstairs incredibly loud and uncomfortable. I think the house had great space and overall was good/ decent. For the price I expected much better. Fridge didn’t keep temp cold while getting in and out for dinner.

Pictures are deceiving

This property did not have any reviews prior so was not able to have anything to go on. Home is located in a great neighborhood and easy access to groceries, restaurants etc. When I saw this home online it looked perfect, however, when we arrived, home is in dire need of an update and definitely the outdoor deck with the chair swing was a safety hazard. We all decided not to go out on the deck after looking over the construction under the deck especially with a toddler. The chair swing looks like it is about to fall of the hinges with all the rust. Major cobwebs that seem like it had been there for a while everywhere on both decks. Couple items in the house such as towel racks coming off of the wall, kitchen cabinets need some TLC. Overall, we had a great family time together but the price of the home should be much less.

The property and house are great. Very accommodating. We had 9 adults and 2 toddlers. Plenty of room for everybody with more to spare. Communication through the Vrbo app was bad. I would get unclear responses and nobody seemed to know about the actual property when I was asking about the deck with swing and baby amenities. The deck with the swing may not be safe; we were eventually told not to use it after originally being told it would be unavailable. There was nothing to suggest it was dangerous or unsafe, so we had to clarify. As far as baby amenities, there is one high chair, baby gate, bumbo seat, and pack n' play. We put the baby gate going upstairs. The downstairs stairwell has a door that can stay closed. Addressing some issues mentioned by previous guests: the refrigerator closed without issue, the hot tub did not overflow with 6 people in it (even if it does, you now have the right amount of water), and if there were bottles by the dock we didn't see any. There was also no issue with overgrown plants and hedges limiting parking. We had 6 cars and zero issues with parking. Overall, I would recommend the property for sure. Being right on the lake is amazing, and you're also about a 5-7 minute drive from Lincoln City (we went to the Game Over arcade bar). Just temper your expectations when it comes to communicating with management. Oh, they also approved a late checkout (2 pm). It was a $50 fee, but well worth it.
