I had very mixed feeling about how many stars to give this booking. There were several positives but in the end I felt that the cons out weighted the pros. Pros: it’s a large spacious house that fit large groups with small kids like us well. There were tons of beds and lots of kid friendly additions that we appreciated. The pool was also a nice place to come cool off after a long day at the beach. Cons: the house had severe maintenance issues and mold every where. Someone appears to have poorly nail-gunned a new veneer on the the stairs and left dull nails poking out of the ends of many of the stairs. There was mold all over the master shower, the dish washer, the kitchen sink, and much of the kitchen equipment such as the cutting boards. Finally the upstairs porch had a railing that was severely damaged due to being attached to an awning. It made us uncomfortable to have children out on the porch because of it. I’ve seen a few other renews noting this issue and comments from the owner claiming it was fixed: it’s not… I’m sure the owners will quickly respond that they sent maintenance out right away after I called our first morning. And they did, however the maintenance team only came at the exact time we told them not to (nap time). They never came back and the two times they were there they mostly just poked around looking at issues without fixing anything. It almost seemed like they only showed up to say they responded and not to fix anything. Don’t stay here!

Great place to stay! Held 2 families perfectly!!! The walk to the beach was only like 5 minutes! Was really close to Black Beards Resteraunt! The pool was great to be in after the beach and then hot tubbing before bedtime!!! The pool could have been a little clearer but not bad.

Dirty Pool and Hot Tub

Upon checking in, we toured the house were very disappointed to find a very dirty pool. We called the housekeeping manager, who could use a course in customer service, and here we are 2 1/2 hours later and reaching out 3 times, no news on the pool being cleaned and pivoting to change our plans for the evening since grilling and hanging out in the pool isn't an option. Don't be fooled by the pictures. Everything outside is extremely worn and old.

We enjoyed our stay so much. The property had everything we needed and there was plenty of room for all of us. Great location, plenty to do, and property manager was very responsive every time I reached out; even before we checked in. We’ll definitely be staying here again the next time we visit SPI.

Family vacation

Beautiful and spacious. Nice jacuzzi. Pool was okay . Master bedroom was very cozy. Too bad we were rained out all 3 days. We sure made the best of it though.

Such a great location and house! So nice to have a private pool and a very short walk to the beach. My family and I very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Good location. Close to beach access point. Property manager responded quickly and politely to our questions. Lovely home, lots of space and the A/C unit works amazing. There are 2 sets of stairs but that's kind of expected in a beach house. Would stay again and recommend to a friend

Property was in a good area and worked well for the 9 of us. However, we ended up needing to buy toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags right off the bat due to not enough being supplied. The soap in each bathroom had very little or no soap in it. Contacted the property and was told to contact another person. Received a response asking what the address was and then never heard anything. The cooking utensils, pots and pans were also not clean.

Safety

There were definitely some shady men in the area. We had our 9 year old little girl with us. And a man approached her while sitting on our golf cart with all of us in it as well. We had three grown men and two women plus our 9 year old in our group.He was definitely from over the border. We reappeared it to the restaurant we were leaving at the time. And were told that a man looking like the creep. Was also reported for taking pics and videos of children at the water park as well.. so please keep ur babies close. The creeps are real brave there.

Great location

The home is very large & in a great location. The home is in need to some major TLC like other reviews have mentioned. It could use a deep cleaning. We had multiple issues with the home the 5 days we stayed & still have not received a response from Evolve.

Where do we start.

Pros:Great location.House has a lot of potential.Cons:When we got to the house at 10:00pm, we couldn't get in, the code was not set. The garage doors were disgusting. It was freezing outside and the furnace had not been turned on, it was 42in the house, didn't you think you would set it to a comfortable setting knowing you had people coming in.The ceiling fans had not been cleaned in a very long time, they were very dirty, they came and cleaned only (1) fan and cleaned it over the table with our fresh fruit on it, never bothered to move the bowl.The floors were still filthy, our feet were black. Cobwebs in the corners. Couch was dirty, including pillows, gross. Beds were very comfortable, but very sweeky when getting in and out of bed. Return vents were rusty and dust coming out of them. Kitchen was ok, but only (6) forks, the freezer door was crooked, the cabinets didn't close well, the dishwasher never worked, had to hand wash all dishes all week long, air fryer didn't work, no cleaning supplies to wipe anything down when we got there, only (2) towels for the kitchen, we had to buy a lot of items. Windows were so dirty with children's finger prints you could barley see out of them in the living room. The dryer took (3) hours to dry(2) blankets and still weren't dry, our husbands ended up having to fix it, they pulled out a Walmart bag full of lint and they painted the outside vent shut, so it wasn't getting any ventilation, the house could have burned down. :::

Everything was great house was super cute only complaint was the pool was a bit dirty but because of plants around the pool but everything was amazing we did pay extra for the pool heating and was well worth it and hot tub was great as well 10/10 will definitely be renting again

Spacious, comfortable property in excellent location

This was a very spacious and comfortable property for a multi- generational vacation. It had a well-furnished kitchen and large dining area, as well as a beautiful pool area and hot tub which everyone enjoyed. The beach and restaurants are only a short walk away.

Overpriced but overall satisfied

pros: large with plenty of comfy beds. pretty clean. plenty of dishes to use and cook with. dishwasher works well. has keurigg and traditional coffee makers. laundry. big open living room. playpen. backyard pool/hot tub amazing. beach close. cons: needs maintenance/attention to certain areas of the house. the baby gates were useless, not only because they were broken but also because they werent even wide enough to put at the main stairs, which is obv the main concern for this property when having small children. the stairs had random nails sticking out to trip on too. there were no bathtubs to bathe small kids, only showers.code for the door didnt work when we arrived so we had to call mngmnt to get a random code to get in. they were quick to answer and help though. we saw some bugs at first and many of the plug ins for the bedrooms had exposed wire with power strips just hanging from not being long enough. took a lot of work to baby proof for 3 toddlers. i also was approached by a big rat my first night on the balcony, but ik they cant really control that. was a bit scared to hangout outside at dark because of that lol the sunshades were barely hanging on and one even came off after a small storm. there was construction across the street so the view out the living room was ugly and had people in and out all day, even using the driveway for the property to back into their work space. not a huge deal, but for the price, the view was awful. grill rusty. thermostat weird.

Disappointed

There was issue and after issue with the home. Lack of cleanliness, broken washer, pool growing algae, broken canopy, 2nd floor bathroom smelling of sewage.

Nice house great price

We had a great stay at the house. Cooking was easy since the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need for cooking. The rooms were spacious and the living area was huge. It made it easy to lounge around after long days at the beach.
