Perfect Beach Getaway

We had an amazing stay! The house was spotless, had all the amenities we needed, and a few blocks from the beach. The beach entry was very accessible for our wagons and little kiddos. The beds and living room furniture were comfortable, and the pool was just the right size for hanging out after the beach. Can’t wait to come back!

We loved the house and the people were great to work with! No heated pool which was a bummer, but the rest was great. Right next to grocery store and walking distance to just about everything!

Good SPI Location and Lots of Room to Relax

This property was in a nice location convenient to: grocery, restaurants, conveniences, coffee/tea shop and beach, which was a short walk to our beach access. We like having the two-apartment arrangement with each bathroom arranged for convenient use by each bedroom occupant. We used the lower dining and living area as our central gathering, and it was very accommodating. There was a short supply of large dishes, but we managed by using the medium sized ones in a mix and match arrangement. And for me these beds were the most comfortable I have had in the last few placed we have stayed during travel. The listing should be clearer about the access to the upper apartment, it was not a problem for us, but all access does require outdoor traversing, even in rain, which we had, and made us note this fact. It is a very good beach accommodation for family and organized groups on holiday.

Great weekend beach getaway house

Very short walk to the beach. Beach was very clean. Nice set up for my adult children and family. Separate upstairs and down stairs accommodations. The house was clean with the majority of all necessities available. Grocery store is down the block and very convenient. Great location.

Annual Family Getaway

We visit South Padre every year and this was one of the best places we have stayed. The house was spacious, clean, and in a great location. The only downside was that the pool was more like a hot tub with the TX heat so the adults did not swim. We would definitely rebook earlier in the summer. Great spot!!

It was a very nice property with great location. If we needed something from the store it was walking distance ,but almost everything was walking distance from there. I would highly recommend this property for anyone visiting SPI.I appreciate the host they are good people.

This is the best location on the beach! Everything we needed was nearby. The house was immaculate with plenty of beach towels! The beach was within walking distance. We will definitely return!

Family vacation

The property was clean, it had more than enough room for my family, super close to the water/beach access. The house had all the amenities that we wanted! Much better then renting a hotel room!! The property manager Blanca met us at the property for check-in, she was super nice and went over every detail of the property. Communication was excellent! We highly recomend this property if you are looking for a nice/peaceful family vacation/getaway!

Ideal South Padre Location

What an amazing VRBO duplex! We had two families, four adults 8 kids ( 17, 17, 14, 14, 13, 13, 11) and we had plenty of room. We would highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back again! Both duplexes are spacious, clean, and inviting with the huge sofas and two decks with places to sit. The pool was great to relax it. It is the perfect size for 6-8 people at one time. Between the two units, it was great having two kitchens, two master bedrooms, 4 total bathrooms, two living spaces, and two washer/dryers to use. Blanca the property manager was great at communicating with us and was patient in waiting for us to arrive when we underestimating how long it would take to get over the bridge during rush hour. She made sure everything was ready for us with cable working well. This duplex is ideal for walking distance to great beach location, grocery store, food, shops, and brewery. The kitchen was stocked enough, but I would recommend brining paper plates and cups. I wish we would have bought silverware too, but we just ran the dishes everyday and it was manageable. We were able to do light cooking. Also, the water wasn’t hooked up to the fridge and the tap water wasn’t the best, so we bought bottled water. They provide an ice maker in the upstairs unit. You just need to keep an eye on it and transfer it. The bonus room with the futon off the master bedroom wasn’t as functional if you wanted a private master. We had an amazing time! Thanks!!!

Perfect Location

Location is key at this property! Steps to the grocery and a block from beach access was all our families needed. Units were clean and the beds were comfy. Plenty of room for our party of 12. The Communication and flexibility with the owners was great. We had a lovely visit and hope to visit again. Just a few things to note: only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom. No dishwasher or laundry detergent, no hair dryers, and no condiments in the kitchens (salt, pepper, oil, etc.). This wasn’t a deal breaker, but we would have come a bit more prepared if we had known ahead of time.
