Quiet Getaway - 4 Season Lakefront Cottage

Beautiful waterfront cottage on Dickey Lake perfect for all seasons. A quiet cottage getaway only 2.5 hrs from Toronto! Easy drive from the GTA, Ottawa and Kingston on a fully paved road maintained by the municipality all year round. With two bedrooms, pull-out sofa in the living room and one bathroom, the cottage sleeps 6-7. Large wrap around deck including BBQ and outdoor fire pit.

Bright, open concept living, kitchen and dining area looking out over the lake. The cottage looks out over a shallow (weedy), quiet bay just off the west bay of the lake. You will love the peace and quiet and extreme privacy on this almost 2-acre level wooded property.

Pet friendly. We welcome guests that will be respectful and show care for our family cottage.

Amazing

We had a lovely experience with our stay. There were some difficulties in the beginning due to an issue with the furnace, but the host was on top of it and resolved the issue as quick as they could. I really recommend this cottage, the hosts were welcoming and so helpful.

Family summer rental

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was VERY private, VERY quiet. It was perfect. We enjoyed the kayaks and sitting out on the dock watching the turtles, and fish.

Clean and beautiful cottage on lake with plenty of fish

We loved our stay, thank you so much to the owner. Cottage is clean and modern and very well equipped. Plenty of "the little things" were such a welcomed surprise to our family. There is plenty of fish right off the dock. We had lots of fun kayaking too.

Quick getaway

My husband and i really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It was clean, quiet, well maintained and equiped with everything you could need for a very comfortable and relaxing getaway. Excellent host. Not possible to swim off the dock, unfortunately. However, there is a public beach close by.

Would recommend to anyone!

We had the most amazing week with are children, the check in proses was easy and they even accommodated us for an early check in, everything we needed plus some was at the cottage they had tons of toys and games for the kids to play and the most amazing view! We felt right at home! We will defiantly be returning! 10/10 would recommend! I would highly suggest lots of bug spray lol!

Relaxing week

The property is just awesome.We had a great time at this cottage and our pups also enjoyed it.The only downside is the weedy lakefront.We were still able to have a couple boat rides after nervously getting through the weeds.If not for that I would give it a 100% response.All in all it was still great and the owner was always available.

Beautiful cottage stay

We have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. The cottage is the perfect vacation spot for relaxing and renergizing. I could write an essay about how spectacular our stay was, It was extremely clean and our host was super attentive and helpful. The lake was quiet and perfect for all the water toys to enjoy, kayak/canoe/and paddleboat were there and we had a lot of fun with them. Just sitting on the dock listening and watching for birds, fish, beavers, frogs and loons was very peaceful. Bbqing every night and exploring nearby trails and waterfalls was really cool, even driving was relaxing up there. It was also dog friendly which was very important for us to be able to share with ours, I don't think he ever wanted to leave! And neither did we! Thank you for sharing your amazing place with us and who knows what the future brings but we'd definitely love to return one day!

A relaxing week at a well equipped cottage

We were looking for a quiet relaxing week & we found it here! I will give detail to help future renters. The property is large & had a good fire pit, lots of open area for enjoying the sun & a dock. The water is weedy & not suitable for swimming (we knew that) but we did some fishing & there were water toys: we used the paddle boat but there was also canoe & kayak if we’d wanted. The area was very quiet so except for 1 loud afternoon at a neighbour’s the only sound we ever heard was the occasional car & birds. There are two bedrooms: 1 has a double bed only and 1 has a double & single. We chose to stay in the larger room because it had a ceiling fan & we liked the air movement at night. There were also ceiling fans in the kitchen & living areas so we didn’t need to use the AC as much. Some days were very hot & humid so we were certainly very glad to have AC. The kitchen was very well supplied. Literally the only things we couldn’t find we’re measuring spoons & a jug to make juice. Otherwise we found everything we needed. There is an excellent bbq on the porch we used a lot, a covered deck which we used when it rained & a picnic table with umbrella that we ate at when it wasn’t raining. Bathroom was well laid out. A good sized shower with a built in seat. Wifi was decent - spotty cell coverage so wifi needed Nearest grocery store in Coe Hill has decent variety but we went to Bancroft to shop. The bakery is a must stop. 100% we’d rebook here as it was perfect for us.
