Private Cabin getaway, located on 16 acre property. (Pet Friendly!)

Welcome to the Redwood Cabin, a beautiful log cabin nestled amongst 16 acres, surrounded by nature and tranquility. A scenic 2.5 hour drive from the GTA. The cabin consists of 3 full bedrooms, 2.5 Bathrooms and let's not forget the large basement for entertainement. There is a full size kitchen to make meals for entire family. Out in the back you can find our large fire pit, holding up to 10 people. The town is located 10 mins away with everything you need. Everything you need for getaway from your regular day to day life awaits you!
Please Note: if using the BBQ, please bring you own propane.

Cabin Guidelines
• Quiet times is after 10:00 pm (No loud noises)
• No shoes inside house
• Vacationers are not expected to clean the cottage. It is the vacationer’s responsibility to leave the cottage in a tidy state. Cleaning supplies are available in the cottage for your use if required. Dishes should be clean and put away. Garbage should be taken away.
• All renters and members of their party must respect the cottage and surrounding property. Please contact us immediately with details of any damage done to the property or any of the furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects.
• This is very important. Everyone in your rental party must be aware of the care and maintenance of this system to prevent any unpleasant and expensive issues. Single ply toilet paper should only be used as toilet paper. No other object, including paper towels and feminine products can be flushed down the toilet.
• All garbage accumulated during your stay must leave the property upon departure. Check the owner’s instructions for the nearest dump location or more detailed instructions regarding garbage.
• No smoking inside property, smoking outside of the property is allowed (approximately 10 metres away from property)
• Please clean up after pets (inside and outside). Poop bags are provided if needed.
• No pets on furniture
•any damages or mess left by pets are charged at renters expense

My family loved this place

My family and I had a wonderful and peaceful stay in this beautiful cabin. The cabin was beautiful and well-appointed with nice extras like a pool table, a spa tub in the upstairs bathroom and the fire pit area outside. We really enjoyed the well equipped kitchen.

Perfect getaway from the city!

This place was perfect for our family of four plus our dog to get away and disconnect from the city life. The place is exactly as described on the listing and pictures, private with lots of space. We brought our snowshoes and we’re able to explore the property even more - the dog was in heaven. We appreciated all the amenities, and the little touches and the lovely holiday decorations throughout. Lexia was super responsive and very accommodating, we will definitely be back. Thank you.

Cozy NYE Cottage

I had a great time with my friends at this wonderful and cozy cottage. Lexia was very responsive and made it easy to get comfortable there. We only had one slight bump with no propane left at the bbq, but we worked it out by getting the propane tank refilled at the Foodland, and she covered it completely. The pool table and basement are spacious and made the stay lovely. I really enjoyed sleeping there with a fan in every room - I personally like that. We'll definitely come back again!

Will be back when in the area again!

We had a family/school reunion. This location reminded us of our family farm area. Nostalgic! The grounds are large and so inviting. The house is beautiful! Very spacious for many people with a variety of activities to do. Great to have so many bathrooms. The kitchen and living room allowed for many people to spread out and enjoy an inclusive conversation. The many bedrooms on various levels helped us to feel comfortable with our own space to sleep and nap! Beautiful drive from Madoc and other communities close by. Such a great find!

Family Day Weekend Getaway

This was the perfect spot for a winter family weekend. Two hour drive for those of us coming from Ottawa and 3 hours for those from Hamilton. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. It was nice that there was a bedroom and bathroom on each floor. It allowed everyone to have their own space. The kitchen was well equipped, although we would have preferred a regular coffee maker, we brought coffee, but not Kreurig pods and not everyone got coffee on the last day. Great property for snowshoeing or long walks on quite road. The pool table was a hit as well. The host were a pleasure to deal with and check-in was easy.

Beautiful, cosy cabin - Remember the propane :)

We had a great time at Redwood Cabin - the house was lovely with beautiful Christmas decorations! There were 2 living areas which helped when trying to be quiet for a baby to sleep! Kitchen and dining were well-equipped (we couldn’t find the S&P shakers and only 2 wine glasses :S). It was disappointing to find there was no propane for the bbq just as we started cooking dinner our first night, but Lexia was able to get us some very quickly. We were actually surprised to have no propane since we had asked specifically about the bbq and another guest also had no propane for the bbq! It poured rain our entire stay but we still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves: explored the “ghost town” in Eldorado (about 10 km away), played pool, loved the peace & quiet and ate , drank and were merry! :) Thank you.

Beautiful quiet cottage

Lovely cottage. Very quiet and private, perfect for a weekend away from the city. The cottage was clean, and had everything you need. It was also very beautifully decorated for the holidays. The bed was like a cloud!
