Beautiful Lakefront Log Cabin:

This beautiful Log home is the quintessential lake cabin with it's own private dock and hot tub. When you arrive by boat this beautiful home will immediately catch your eye in the majestic setting where the forest meets the water. Once docked in front of the boathouse make your way up the ramp to your home, you can't help but stop and look at the awe inspiring views. Open the front door to a grand entrance where you will enjoy the stone fireplace and a gourmet kitchen. You'll be warm and cozy in the living room with a big screen tv and huge couches. In the kitchen you have everything needed to prepare meals and will enjoy those meals on a large dining table with lake views. Outside enjoy the hot tub on the covered patio overlooking Tenmile lake. When it's time to turn in you have a beautiful master suite on the main level with a king bed and lake views, the bathroom that can be closed off to create a master suite or open the door to be a shared bath. Down stairs is the second bedroom with two bunkbeds (each is a full/twin). Bedroom #3 is on the main level with two twin beds (trundle type with pull out) and a private entrance just out the kitchen back door. For overflow guests The Lake Cabin also offers a queen sleeper in the living room. Your entire family and friends are sure to enjoy this relaxing home on the Lake.



Tenmile Lake is the largest and southernmost of a chain of lakes along the Oregon Coast south of the Umpqua River in the United States. The chain includes North Tenmile, Eel, Clear, and smaller lakes, which drain into the Pacific Ocean via Tenmile Creek. The lake is 8 miles south of Reedsport and 0.5 miles east of U.S. Route 101 near the community of Lakeside.

Tenmile Lake and North Tenmile Lake combined have been called "a premier largemouth bass fishery. In addition to largemouth bass, the shallow dendritic lakes with their complicated shorelines support populations of brown bullhead, bluegill, black crappie, coastal cutthroat trout, and stocked rainbow trout. Bass-catching tournaments are common at these lakes, and experts are able to catch 20 to 50 largemouth a day that weigh 2 to 5 pounds.

The two lakes, connected by the North Lake Canal, are used for boating, waterskiing, and swimming, as well as fishing. In Lakeside, near the outlet of Tenmile Lake, Coos County manages Tenmile Lakes Park. It has boat ramps, docks, a fish-cleaning stand, picnic tables, horseshoe courts, restrooms, and other amenities.

DO NOT RENT!To start we never received check in instructions (yes I double, triple checked my spam). I had to call the after hours line to get the door code. The access stairs are sagging/breaking. The direct kitchen, upstairs bathroom and both bedroom lights do not work. The bathrooms were dirty and we cleaned them before use. The hot tub jets do not work and you cannot adjust the temperature ( two days before our arrival I called to make sure it was working after reading previous reviews and was told explicitly it was) The electric range knobs are not correct so you have to learn how to turn it off..one burner is off at 3 the other is off on on. The window by the hot tub is shattered with jagged glass (highly dangerous). Supposedly it was broken two renters ago and will be replaced in a few weeks. The grill was absolutely disgusting and we spent 30mins scrubbing and cleaning it. I brought these issues to the property manager and they offered to move us. After deliberation and over an hour spent cleaning before using the home, we decided to tough it out so we didn’t wouldn't end up spending half the day repacking the boat and moving an hour up the coast to another property that may or may not be any better. I am absolutely disgusted they rent this home out in the shape it is in. Pure and utter greed. I have taken before and after videos and extensive pictures and what I say is incontestable.

Beautiful View

As a way of getting my adult children and grandkids together 10 years ago I started renting Lake homes. It has been an amazing time. This was our second year renting this home. We love so many things about this place but it is in much need of repairs and updated decor. It has amazing views of the lake with an expansive front deck to enjoy it from. The beautiful living room with open concept kitchen large windows with great lake views. Master bedroom was also beautiful with great views. That's about where it ends. Downstairs needs a Queen bed and or new mattresses. My adult children complained that they were terrible and so did the two kids. When we first got there downstairs smelled terrible. Like dead mice and very musty. Was better after we opened it up. There needs to be directions on thermostat, fans, lights and window shades. And the controllers need marked so you know what operates what! Drove me nuts. Dining table chandelier needs fixed hanging together with fish line. Dining Chairs were very wobbly need reglued repaired or replaced. Me and my husband could not get off of the couch without help. Was not comfortable at all way to low to floor. Shower is not easy to use at all. Almost impossible for a senior to get in. But we did manage. Both upstairs and downstairs showers are very slippery need a Matt or something for grip. Very dangerous. Even my granddaughter slipped when getting out. Hot tub again this year did not work. Dock had tons of cobb webs. Was afraid to sit on provided deck chairs. Electricity was not working on dock for lighting or plug ins. Could not charge our trolling motor batteries for fishing. Owners need to put a little time and money into this place as it is such a lovely home. All of that being said we did have an amazing time. Caught lots of fish and created new memories. Thank you for sharing your dream home.

It's hard to know how to rate this property... The house is awesome, but very run down and hadn't been cleaned (there were dirty dishes in the kitchen sink and trash around the house when we arrived). The biggest problem was that the water from the taps and showers smelled like sewage and was unusable. Just turning on the shower stunk up the whole house. We contacted the host about it right away, but didn't hear back until the next day. We were told that we were probably using too much water, and the filter couldn't keep up. But because of the stench, we were only using the water to wash dishes at that point. We eventually tried running the water for a long time to see if the pipes just needed to be flushed, and by our third day there we were finally able to take showers. It put a damper on the weekend for sure, and it was very frustrating to not get any real reaponse about the issue. But other than the water issue, the house is lovely and we had fun. They have kayaks, paddleboards, board games, and a pretty well stocked kitchen.

Great Property/Terrible Weather

House was very nice and clean - loved the bed! Didn't love the camera placed near hot tub and wonder about audio. Only 3 trashbags left for a 4 day stay for 6 people and bins outside full from previous booking; hot tub not fully functioning but okay. There is also NOT a dedicated spot at marina for parking so we had to leave vehicle in grocery store lot down street for days and walk back to marina - exhausting and inconvenient after loading up boat with supplies but overall fun adventure for family. We just booked too much in advance thinking weather should be nice in late June. Won't make that gamble again! Also unable to use surround sound and back porch lights out without bulb replacements provided so hard to grill. It would have just been a better experience if those basic items were provided and guests trusted to use sparingly instead of host arguing that plenty of bags were left under sink because they weren't. The property deer was best part getting to interact with tame wildlife but we couldn't walk around yard as waist high grass surrounded property and swath around house was recently cut but not raked so unable to use fire pit safely or walk grounds. Just small tweaks would have made a killer getaway but probably won't book again at this price point.

House and Property in Total Disarray

We stayed in this property for 5 nights in June, and almost everything was either in poor shape or not functional. Upon arrival, the the landscape was in severe need of help. The lawn wasn't mown, weeds everywhere, and plants partially blocking the walkway. I found multiple loose screws lying around on the deck. The coverings on the patio furniture were disgusting and in need of a cleaning.Here's what we faced once inside the property.Mouse traps were left in multiple rooms throughout the house.The chandelier in the main room was held together by fishing line.The light above the bathroom on the main floor didn't work.Almost every pan we used was dirty. We attempted to use the oven, but there was some kind of sticky residue on the bottom that let off smoke when we turned it on. The grill and its utensils hadn't been cleaned.The listing stated 3 bedrooms, but one of the bedrooms was locked and we couldn't access it.Prior to arrival, I spoke with someone who said they'd leave an electric griddle for us to use to make pancakes, and that wasn't there upon arrival.I contacted the number provided, and there was no response.I would never recommend this property to anyone based on the state of the property and poor customer service.

Beautiful setting

The property itself is beautiful and at one time well loved. The home had several little thoughtful extra such as automatic blinds, bidet,security system, camp chairs etc but the house was not clean; used bandages on night stand, coffee left in coffee pot, dusty, used tp in downstairs bathroom laying on the floor, hot tub had sand in it and the jets did not work, Unable to use space above boat house which appeared to be available in listing, the heating/cooling system doesnt function properly.. All in all we had a wonderful trip, these issues were minor and more of a annoyance.

Annual Fishing Trip to Ten Mile

The place was Great. Beautiful log cabin close to the marina . Easy and short ride in . Large grassy area for my dog to run around. Everybody loved the place.

Serene Getaway

Great place to stay! Hidden gem on tranquil lake just minutes from ocean and Oregon dunes. Floor plan is open and great for families. My dogs had the time of their lives running and swimming. Highly recommend and we hope to stay again next summer!

Dangerous conditions!

The listing states that it’s pet friendly, so we brought our dogs. The first day the dogs were running in the yard and one stepped on broken glass, slicing his foot open. $800 vet bill! We found piles of broken glass bottles in the yard and garbage and broken bottles in the woods just outside the yard. There was even a toilet in the yard filled with broken bottles. I messaged the property host about the glass and received no response. The house itself was great, other than the broken exterior staircase and some dirty dishes.

Gorgeous Cabin Good for Groups

Stayed with 8 adult friends. We loved the kayaks and canoe. Easy to get there with the boat we rented at the marina. Easy check in. Great kitchen.

Perfect for multi-generational trip

Our age range was from 7- 76. The little kids played in the water by the dock. The teen and 20's spent hours in the kayak. The adults supervised from the dock. The elders watched it all from the porch. The house was roomy enough for everyone. Everyone had fun!
