Welcome to Clovelly Cottage, a charming heritage retreat tucked into the lush gardens of historic Clovelly House in Metung. This quaint former boat-builder’s workshop blends old-world character with modern comforts, offering a peaceful escape just a short stroll from the village, beach, and marinas.

Inside, the cosy living area welcomes you with cathedral ceilings, a smart TV, reverse-cycle air conditioning, and a wood heater for cooler evenings. The quaint kitchenette includes a microwave, double electric hotplates, tea and coffee facilities, and a small fridge. The bedroom features a queen bed, and the adjacent ensuite offers both a shower and a double spa bath.
Outside, a private verandah overlooks manicured gardens, and the setting invites you to unwind in nature. Well-behaved dogs are warmly welcomed.

My pet Frankie and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Clovelly Cottage. The accommodation was well thought out and appointed. VERY comfortable and welcoming. The gardens are absolutely stunning and we were invited to enjoy the “Garden House” to enjoy the views without the winter chill. What a joy.

Location

We loved our stay at Clovelly Cottage and the gardens are just magnificent. One reason we booked it was that it had the Coonara fire. No wood was supplied even though they advertise it . No wood was available in Metung so we had to drive back to the highway and luckily we were able to get a bag at Swan Reach.

The online booking process was a nightmare. Upon booking this property I received 9 emails confirming accomodation at alternate locations 2 days to sort all of that out and uncertainty as to whether I’d actually booked the correct accomodation Upon arrival, host who lives on the property was not aware we were coming. Front gate was closed. Lights were off. Property itself Ok but the one thing we wanted to do was light an open fire and the host came down to the property and told us that was not allowed, they do not supply firewood Why then was this property advertised with an open fire place??? Bedding was minimal No breakfast items Rea/ coffee that was it Fairly average. Good lo location
