Welcome to Ponderosa Lodge! Established in the Spring of 2023! Named after Montana's own State Tree, this stylish and luxurious mountain lodge is guaranteed to captivate you and elevate your vacation experience to the next level. Conveniently located among 3.5 acres of pinery bordering the Gallatin National Forest on the Continental Divide, and a short ten-minute drive to Yellowstone National Park. Experience Montana Lodge living at Ponderosa Lodge, a dream getaway destination for all seasons, offering easy access to miles of snowmobile trails for the winter adventure seeker, and ATV trails for your summer escapade. The property offers 5,000 square-feet of tastefully decorated living space featuring top of the line amenities and exquisite furnishings designed for your comfort and enjoyment. The lodge boasts sweeping 14' walls and massive 26" beams throughout. A large gas fireplace complements the spacious living room and dining room area. The dining room features a gorgeous 12' custom made epoxy river table to accommodate seating for your entire party. Similarly, the living room offers ample elegant and comfortable seating, perfect for gathering with family and friends, or cozy up around the inviting fireplace. The main floor also features a premium gourmet kitchen with granite countertops and huge center island. The kitchen is fully equipped with brand name appliances (dual refrigerators, dual ovens), and a wide variety of condiments and spices to inspire the chef in you!

The three living floors offer functionality, comfort, and privacy for everyone. The lower floor features a family/TV room with gas fireplace, foosball and air hockey tables. The cabin sleeps up to fourteen, with four master bedroom suites exclusively designed for privacy and outfitted with comfortable beds and high quality linens for your night time comfort. The four bedroom suites offer king size beds, complete with a private ensuite bathroom. The fifth bedroom offers the perfect sleep-over experience with three queen beds. Each master bathroom offers a tiled walk-in shower. The fifth bathroom has a full shower/tub combination to accommodate the little-ones. Additional features include two beautiful covered patios boasting a large jacuzzi tub, BBQ grill, outdoor dining table, firepit, and much more.

Explore the beauty and magic of Yellowstone National Park by planning your own adventure, or by choosing a guided tour of the park. There is plenty to do in the area, including world-class fly fishing, hiking, horseback riding, white water rafting, kayaking, boating, water skiing, shopping, dining, theater, and sightseeing, among other things.

The town of West Yellowstone offers fun for the whole family including Yellowstone Historic Center, antique shops, the Grizzly Discovery Center, the IMAX Theater featuring daily showings. For your Wild West experience, the Yellowstone Rodeo (less than a mile from the cabin) is open for Rodeo night almost daily during the summer months. Also available during the summer are the Museum of the Yellowstone and the famous Playmill Theatre offering fun-filled recreation for kids as well as adults.

If winter is your season, the area offers some of the best snowmobiling in the West! The roads to the cabin are plowed during the winter months, offering easy access for the snowmobile enthusiast. The Lion Head Trail is located just down the driveway. Other winter activities include cross country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding and ice fishing, all of which are available close by.

Amazing!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay with Wow Yellowstone and can’t recommend them highly enough. We rented both Montocola Lodge and Ponderosa Lodge, and they were truly spectacular. The homes are beautifully maintained and incredibly well-equipped — every kitchen appliance you could possibly need, fully stocked, and thoughtfully set up for a comfortable stay. We were literally sledding right outside the front door — it felt like stepping into our own private winter wonderland. Rand was extremely helpful throughout the process, and he connected us with Ernesto, who went above and beyond by helping us stock the houses with groceries and anything else we needed ahead of our arrival. That level of service made the trip completely stress-free. It was an amazing vacation from start to finish, and we would absolutely stay with Wow Yellowstone again. Highly recommend.

Mountain luxury at its best!

Beautiful, luxurious, clean and well equipped. The setting was filled with pine trees, fresh air and could not be more beautiful. The Lodge is close to the west entrance to Yellowstone N.P., but close enough to avoid having to stay in town. Lots of room for everyone to have their privacy, including a private bath for each bedroom. Huge, well stocked kitchen and two refrigerators. There is a game room, large decks, hot tub, fire pit, bbq, attached garage. IT HAS EVERYTHING!

We sincerely enjoyed our stay at Ponderosa. The house is located just 7 miles west of West Yellowstone, which made for relatively easy access to the West Entrance to Yellowstone. The house was superb and was as advertised. Well appointed kitchen and two outdoor sitting areas made this the perfect place to unwind after a long and exhilarating day in Yellowstone. Wifi was solid and supported a two hour video call without issue. We highly recommend and will try to rent on our next visit.

The property was well appointed and beautifully furnished. It felt rustic and also very modern and cozy - a tough balance to achieve! We appreciated the special details, such as the table being set for our 12-person group when we arrived, and the paper products being sculpted into floral arrangements. We also appreciated that our surplus packaged food would be donated to people in need.Everyone in our party - the older adults, the teen, the kids, and the sandwich generation - enjoyed the property. The highlight was having enough space in the living room to play a game as a big group.The location was fantastic for the west entrance to Yellowstone and the features of the park nearer that entrance (e.g., Grand Prismatic and Old Faithful), but it was an extremely long day for visiting the features on the northern and eastern sides of the park (e.g., Mammoth and the Lamar Valley). Consider booking an extra night to recover from a visit to the northern and eastern sides of the park.

We had a wonderful family vacation with our kids and grandkids. The house was perfect for our group of 8 adults and 2 children. It had beautiful decor and plenty of room for everyone to have their own private space. The well stocked kitchen had everything we needed to cook for our large group. The barbecue was great for preparing our steak dinners, and we loved the outside eating area and the jacuzzi. The dining room table was beautiful and seated 12 people. It was great for family meals and playing board games each night. The bathrooms had excellent quality towels and there were plenty of them. The beds were wonderful! Great mattresses, nice linens and pillows made for a good night’s sleep for all of us.The proximity to West Yellowstone was very convenient for trips to the market, eating out, or visiting the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center. The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center was fabulous, and both the kids and the adults loved it. The proximity to Yellowstone National Park, provided us with a fun filled and packed 7 days, that included kayaking, white water rafting, horseback riding, and hiking. I highly recommend this property.

This was one of the best vacations ever.

We had a great time staying in west Yellowstone. There were 11 of us in this cabin. There was plenty of room The kitchen has top rate appliances and any cooking tool you might need. It was well furnished. It’s close to the west entrance to Yellowstone. We couldn’t have found a more suitable place to stay than this. We would stay here again and again.

This was our first VRBO. It was the best experience we could’ve asked for. The house was beautiful and roomy. With 14 people in the house there was plenty of room for all. Every bedroom had their own bathrooms. The kitchen was supplied well with cooking utensils and many spices to use. The house is located at the end of the road next to the forest so there was plenty of privacy even some deer came to visit every day. Everything we did as a family was very close by within 10 to 20 minutes. Horse trails, golfing, Yellowstone, shopping and the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center. Bonus was a hot tub! This place is well cared for. Highly recommend as this had a comfortable and homey feel. Thank you Rand for sharing your home.

The Ponderosa was a wonderful base for our recent Yellowstone vacation. Close enough to all of West Yellowstone’s offerings but has the feeling of being in the forest. The host provided every thing needed including great weather. The home is extremely comfortable and is very well stocked for your needs. We have rented many vacation homes over the years and the Ponderosa ranks right of the top.

Exceptional Family Vacation

This was our whole family vacation ... 10 people ranging in age from 10 to 68. In a word: SPECTACULAR!!!The home delivered on the promise of the website. First place we've stayed that I didn't have the need to clean before we got settled. Kitchen was equipped with every gadget / appliance needed. (And we have a professional chef in the family.) Beds and pillows were so comfortable. Outdoor fire pit and hot tub were added bonuses.Rand was so gracious with every question in advance and while we were there. He provided great information for park tours, horseback riding, kayaking, rafting and the rodeo. Pride of ownership shines.The Ponderosa Lodge made our first ever trip to Yellowstone so very memorable. Priceless!!!

Perfect Group Vacation House

The Ponderosa Lodge was exactly as shown in the photos - a stunning and extremely clean property on beautiful lands. Our group enjoyed homemade meals together in the large kitchen and dining area, and loved gathering in the hot tub, back patio, living room, and movie room den. There were so many thoughtful details throughout, from the expansive kitchen amenities and games to the laundry room (with double washers and dryers!), fire pit tables, and under-counter lights in the bathrooms. A beautifully designed property all around and the owners are really nice! The one pitfall was the lack of A/C; the weather was warmer than anticipated during our trip and it was sometimes difficult to sleep in the warmer temps if we didn’t want to keep the windows open overnight. Based on our other stays in the area, seems like no A/C is pretty typical, though. All in all, we loved Ponderosa Lodge and would absolutely return. Highly recommended to anyone looking to stay within a few minutes of West Yellowstone!

Gorgeous home to make lasting memories!

This was the best property to make lasting memories with our family and friends. The home is decorated perfectly for the West Yellowstone area. It is so spacious with several common areas that allowed us to gather and recap our Yellowstone adventures. This property was well stocked with all the essentials. The owner’s communication earned him a 5/5. We love this home away from home and would definitely book again.

Family Christmas Gift - Winter Trip to Yellowstone

Every year we give our family a "family vacation" as a Christmas gift. Hence the need for a place for all of us to stay. This VRBO was fantastic for us, our kids and grandkids. This year there were 8 adults and 4 kids (15, 13, 11, 9). The expression on all as they walked in was priceless. Beautifully decorated and spacious. The kitchen and dining room was perfect for family meals and playing cards and games. Each bedroom is spacious and private. The family room downstairs was great for the kids - they felt they had their own "apartment". Just too many great things to say about this rental and not enough space :) A great time by all and close to Yellowstone and pick up place for our Winter Tour w/Seeyellowstone Tours. Again Thank you.

Incredible house close to Yellowstone!

We had a wonderful time at the Ponderosa Lodge! It was perfect for our 2 families (total of 9) traveling together. We all said it was one of the nicest vacation homes we've ever stayed in. We wished we could have stayed longer! Everything was very clean, well-stocked and the host provided great directions. Highly recommend staying here!

Amazing Property with Every Detail Covered

Our groups chose the Ponderosa Lodge for our travel to the West Yellowstone area. Our first impression of the property was how beautiful and spacious it was in the photos. Then after reading pervious traveler reviews it quickly jumped to the top of our list of places to stay. We were just amazed at the attention to detail, the amenities and all the thought that was put into the cabin. The cleanliness and preparation rivaled most 5star hotels we have stayed in. Even the kitchen was completely stocked with every appliance we could have needed. There was plenty of space for all our travelers, room to relax and spend time together and even have full dinners at the luxurious dining room table. Rand, the owner, left a complete stay guide which fully explained, not only all the amenities that were offered, but even how to properly care for the home, the location of items that may be needed....right down to the remote controls for each room. We will definitely come back to stay at the Ponderosa Lodge again!

The best possible mountain getaway for our group of friends!

We are a group of friends who are visiting national parks, and Ponderosa Lodge was everything and more that we were looking for during our Yellowstone visit. It was beautiful , spacious, had everything we possibly needed, and the surrounding view was stunning. It was close to West Yellowstone/Yellowstone, had top notch amenities, including the hot tub, which looked out over the forest. All of our friends agreed we would return to your home in a minute!!
