They are fantastic host. The little apartment/loft above the barn is so cute and perfect for a couple or a small family (1-2 kids or dog) . They have two goats that are very friendly and chickens and roosters that roamed the property. My fiance and I thought it was very cool. They also had a private lake to fish. It was beautiful. Bill, one of the host, was very informative of the property and the local spot like restaurants and beaches. We will definitely be going back and bringing our son and dog next time.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. The owners were exceptionally welcoming - they greeted us personally upon arrival and provided helpful information about local attractions and businesses in the area, which we really appreciated.The property itself is very nice, and we had a pleasant experience overall. However, I do need to point out a significant discrepancy in the listing description. The accommodation was advertised as having two full-size pull-out beds (appearing to be futons) in the living room, but we found two twin-size air mattresses instead. This was disappointing, especially since our two adult children (both in their twenties) found them quite uncomfortable for sleeping.For future guests, I'd recommend clarifying the sleeping arrangements before booking if this is important to your stay. Despite this issue, the hosts were wonderful and the property has a lot to offer.

Well maintained. Kitchen facilities were spartan but if you come prepared with a hot plate or griddle very manageable. Wi-Fi was excellent, and the property was easily accessible

Nice but not for older people

The property was beautiful, wildlife spectacular and domestic animals quaint and charming. Stairs a big issue steep and hard for elders. Furniture not so comfortable. Blow up beds not sofa sleeper one bed did not stay blown up. Not enough towels. Cleaning fee included. Price fair. One window AC and fans not ideal but did cool in a few hours. Hosts polite. Security and safety great.

Friendly owners, safe, and beautiful!

I brought my 2 children (9,5) to see Lake Michigan and fish. This property has it all! Bill and Jo Anna met us as we pulled up and walked us through the property. They had wonderful recommendations for food and places to see. My daughter loved the chickens and goats. My son loved the fishing. What a lovely stay!!

Beautiful property!

Very cute "coach house" above barn. Kitchenette with dishwasher, no stove. However there is gas grill with a side burner downstairs. Beautiful property, and great host! Chickens and goats! Pet friendly! Close to Lake Michigan.

Great vacation!

My family and I had the best time staying in the coach house! My girls loved seeing the chickens and goats each day and the lake on-site was such an added bonus. We had a blast fishing. Bill was so easy to communicate with and even mailed some items to me that I accidentally left behind. Overall, an amazing experience and we will definitely be back!

Charming, Quiet, Great Value

We loved the serenity. Every morning to sit and read by the lake with our coffee. Then an easy 20 minute, no traffic, drive to South Haven and surrounding areas to explore. We didn’t understand when booking it was a renovated coach house above the barn, but it didn’t cause any problems whatsoever. We even bought some foods (a small fridge, microwave, toaster, and dishes are provided) to save going out to eat so much. We’d definitely stay again!

Countryside Home

We loved this little place. It was close enough to the beaches & shopping yet quiet enough for relaxing. As an older couple we would love to have a newer bed but we did ok. And maybe one nice comfy chair. Other than that this place is perfect. Kids loved the animals & teen loved fishing in the pond early & late. We loved all the wildlife we saw too, including a big horned owl !!!!! Would definitely recommend & come back!!!! Thank you!

Love McCormick Manor!

As repeat visitors, we have stayed both at the lodge and the coach house. Bill and Joanna are very communicative, accommodating, and thoughtful hosts. My 8-year old loved seeing the goats, llama, deer, and chickens. Wonderful place to stay and only a short drive to the beach!

Short getaway

We enjoyed the privacy and the beauty of the property. The location was close to beaches. It’s also a short drive to Saint Joseph which is a fun spot to shop and eat.

CUTEST place ever!!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the property for two nights in September to celebrate his birthday (the owners baked him a cupcake!!). It's an adorable little place with access to a private lake/pond which has a dock and patio with a gazebo. So cute to hang out there at night or drink your morning coffee. The location is great too, it's a short drive away from St. Joseph or Saugatuck/Douglas. There is also a beach very nearby and a cute local bakery. Bill was extremely accommodating, kind, and communicative. It was chilly on the weekend we visited (and the unit has no heating) so he bought two portable heaters to keep us warm! Very great experience overall.

Very nice overall

One ding I'll give them is for the description for the property. It doesn't say that this is attached to a barn where animals live (I could smell them in the bedroom), and it doesn't say that the living area is up a narrow flight of stairs. It doesn't have a stove (which is omitted in the amenities but I think should also be put in the overall desciption.) I also thought the mattress in the bedroom was VERY hard, and the bedroom doesn't have any AC in it, just a box fan. So be aware of that. The two futons in the living room were standard comfort wise. The overall living space is small but it was perfect for 4 adults and an infant. The sunroom you see in the pictures is downstairs and the apartment is upstairs. I also was kinda deceived in the description because I thought you could see the lake from the coach house but you can't, it is tucked behind the main house. It was beautiful though, and the gazebo and lake are shared amenity with the other part of the main house they rent out. Overall the property was stunning, the animals on site were friendly and interactive, and the owners are so very nice and humble. The location is 20 mins from South Haven and St. Joseph which was very convenient as well.
