Tucked away in the native bush, this freshly renovated 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home offers the perfect escape. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, and the open-plan living area flows into a modern, compact kitchen—ideal for relaxed holiday living.

Step onto the small deck and you’ll feel like you’re on holiday in a secluded forest retreat, yet you're just minutes from town. It’s a peaceful spot where you can truly unwind and soak up the beauty of nature.

A tree top retreat.

It was the perfect location for day trips to KeriKeri, Russell, and the Waitangi Treaty Ground and offered us the ideal place for the respite we needed. The owners were extremely responsive. Accommodations very comfortable and have been recently upgraded.

Cozy and Comfortable

Tucked away, has all the necesssities

Nicely furnished with all you need, this little place will meet needs. Though you could walk to Te Haumi beach, it would be dangerous on a narrow, busy road and you'd rather go to Paihia beach anyway...so you need a car here. It is right in the forest, as advertised, but the main road is nearby so a bit noisy. The driveway is intimidating but serviceable. All in all, a good value.

All you need

This is a well kept place and the natural bush the deck overlooks is awesome. Lots of work has been put in to this bach and it was so easy to just have our holiday and not have anything to worry about. When we had questions, Carien answered us promptly. Thanks Carien!

Beautiful little hideaway in the bush, perfect for a girl's weekend.

A lovely little cottage in the bush, perfect for a girl's weekend, with two bathrooms and lovely products. The driveway is very steep and the pathway and deck can be slippery in the wet weather, so care is need. Host responded quickly to any queries. All in all and lovely weekend.

Carien's bach was amazing to stay at. It had very modern decor and the amenities available were very suitable for our needs. Any questions or concerns were quickly responded to by the owner. We would love to stay here again when we are up in Paihia!

Waking up in the house will make you feel like you are somewhere in a bush without any worries. We love spending time at the house and just recharge again. It overs a lot of peace and quiet. You have to drive to the beach and town (there is a 2.5km walk way to town)
