This property was such a gem. The property was very clean. Very quiet and peaceful. Fantastic functional kitchen with every chef’s dream of cookware, utensils, etc….wonderful butlers pantry with everything you need to make a feast for your family. The pool was very refreshing and clean. The host and her staff were exceptional! They went out of their way to make our stay awesome. Host was very responsive and made our stay delightful! Highly recommend this property!

We made our reservation in December and received checkin information two days before arrival date. When we got to the property the home owner was there. She told us the house had been taken off the market last year. VRBO was unable to put us in another house in Statesboro. It was graduation week and no other properties were available. We had eight people gathering to celebrate graduation. We were lucky to be able to get hotel rooms in town. But, what was supposed to be a family gathering became separate stays in two hotels.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry for the difficult experience surrounding your reservation and understand how disruptive this was for your graduation plans. The property had previously been taken off the rental market and was no longer available for guest stays. However, the reservation remained active through Vrbo, and the property's unavailable status was not communicated to you before arrival. We understand how frustrating it was to arrive expecting a family gathering and have to make alternate accommodations. We appreciate the opportunity to provide this context for future travelers.

Best Experience

This house is awesome! It is in a quiet area. The kids loved the pool. The ladies stayed in the kitchen area cooking while the men were grilling out back. There are beautiful rustic heart pine floors. The rooms were the perfect sizes with plenty of room to spare. The hostess was awesome and very easy to contact and the welcoming gift was too thoughtful! 10 out of 10 We will definitely be back! ♥️

POOL HOME STAY

Wonderful home with a pool. Great house for our vacation. A couple minor issues to mention: 1) Reached out to Mngt Company to ask about TV's in bedrooms. There were none showing in the pics, so i asked. I was told 2 of the 3 rooms were equipped with TV's. No room had a TV except living room. I had to buy one since we didn't bring one. 2) The house could use some extra cleaning. Under furniture, in cabinets, mainly places that wouldn't get touched as often. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed the rental.

Disappointed

The posting looks great, pics used seem to be very dated. First pulling into the house I was greeted with no trespassing signs and "you will be shot" signs, causing me to wonder if I was at the right house and calling the property manager to confirm if I was indeed at the right house, the replied that these were to warm off others..... Ok, but a little strange for a VRBO rental in my opinion. Entering the house it was clear that it wasn't taken care of very well, and was not very clean. Bathroom counters were covered in hair, the bathtub was filthy and had to be cleaned by us before using. The towels all smelled of mildew and had to be washed several times before using. The kitchen is lacking many basics accomodations, and quality of pots and pans were pretty bad. We had purchased lots of food that was intended for the grill only to find out the advertised grill was not there, so we had to try and use the limited pots and pans in the kitchen. The exterior of the home needed some basic care, leaves and fallen limbs covered all areas and porches, it was clear that nobody had made an effort to blow off some of this before our arrival. There is no walk way from the drive to the door, causing us to have to walk through mud before entering the home and tracking dirt of the floors. Looking past all of this we were still able to relax, the house was large enough for our group of 4 to have our own space and privacy.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:From the Owner; we apologize if the one no trespassing sign was offensive but we feel it necessary to keep the property safe at all times. We have removed the sign. - We take cleanliness very seriously and have a long history of great reviews mentioning how clean the home is. We have a great group of landscapers and pool people who take great care of the property.We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
