The Horned Cow is a semi-rural house perched on 2.5 acres providing dramatic rural views from every room. Just 10min east of Orange in the village of Lucknow, this luxuriously appointed house will amaze you.

A seasonal creek runs through the property with well-maintained lawns ideal for outdoor entertaining or sports. The house caters perfectly for family or friends for all occasions. In winter, the log fire heater in the living room will allow you to relax and unwind with a bottle of wine.

**Our tariff structure is simple - you pay for the entire house for the advertised rate. We do not charge per room or per person. We do not lock off rooms**

The house was completed in Dec-22 and offered only as a professionally appointed short term stay rental. It boasts 5 large bedrooms (x2 King and x3 Queens) all carpeted with floor to ceiling operatable windows (with fly screens). All rooms have built in wardrobes with hangers.

Your stay will be met with a full set of professionally laundered towels, bed linen & blankets. There are 2 bathrooms (inc supplies), and separate laundry with washer and dryer (inc supplies), all with underfloor heating. Beds are medium Sleeping Duck mattresses of high quality. There are 4 pillows in each room (2 hard and 2 soft pillow). Supplementary blankets are also available in each room.

The spacious living room boasts a large stylish Jardan lounge and chairs, with a beautiful slow combustion fireplace and 65inch TV with Netflix. The dining room is set off the kitchen with a timber dining table and seating for 10. A fully equipped kitchen is provided with an abundance of crockery, glassware, cooking equipment, cheese boards, knives, baking equipment etc. A Nespresso coffee machine and pods are provided for your use.

All bedrooms and living spaces are serviced by central ducted air conditioning, or each room can be individually controlled by panels in each room.

The house boasts extremely high environmental credentials through its construction methodology; therefore, this is a very sustainable offering. A large 15kw solar system on the roof is there for guilt free energy consumption.

Whilst the house doesn't cater for wheelchair access to get in the front door, when in the house there are no steps or nib to bathrooms (i.e. everything is level including exterior door treads). The showers in both bathrooms provide 700mm wide access with no shower doors (refer to photos) for ease of showering.

There is unlimited parking next to the house entry and/or on the driveway.

The house set back from the street is generous and double glazing will provide you the serenity you are seeking.

The property has 3 wineries within 2 minutes' drive, with various other wineries throughout Orange at your doorstep.

Free wifi is provided throughout the house and surrounding grounds, as well as a portable bluetooth connected speaker for your music choices.

Unlike many bookings, this house and its private grounds are exclusively yours to enjoy for your stay at The Horned Cow. You will have unrestricted access to the entire property.

Lucknow is a historic village founded on the back of the 1800's gold rush era. Orange is 10min away, with wineries and angus beef cattle farm located immediately next door. Orange is at an altitude of 800m and is home to some of the states best mountain bike tracks, walking tracks, state forests and national parks. During winter we are lucky enough to have a couple dumps of snow to make for a truly magical experience. There are loads of local food and wine festivals throughout the year. Our property is a rural location and has ample parking available. Orange airport is an easy 10min drive away, as is the CBD of Orange.

The house is protected by cameras and an alarm system, which are TURNED OFF during your stay. The cameras are only there for security outside of occupancy times.

House rules:
We request no food is consumed in beds or lounges - tables or benches only.
Complementary make up removal cloths are provided for use, therefore please do not use the provided white towels.
Linen, towels or blankets are not to be removed from the house.
We welcome smoking outdoors, however not inside.
Strictly no parties to be held at the house - the house is provided for 10 guests.
