Located in the quiet community of Cavanagh, southwest Edmonton, this cosy suite is 15 minutes from the Edmonton International airport, 10 minutes from south Edmonton common and 5 minutes from a recreation centre. We stayed from May 19 to May 27 - as we purchased a house and were waiting for our closing date. Everything worked out well - could definitely be cleaner and the entrance walkway and stairs were really quite dangerous especially for anyone over 60. However - the host was very easy to reach and always pleasant - would recommend booking with them - but I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that walkway and stairs.

Great Home Away From Home

This basement suite was clean and spacious, in a quiet neighbourhood, with quick access to major roads. It had lots of extra touches - from a few snacks, to cooking staples, and kitchen appliances/ dishes. I would highly recommend staying here.

I have stayed at this property multiple times, and it has been consistently great. Kitchen is so nicely designed with a gas stove, huge tv in the living room, beds are comfortable and quiet at night. Very nice hosts who are always willing to assist when needed, but also give you privacy. It’s perfect!

Damp and Uncomfortable

Stayed for a night booked a couple days in advance. When you book they tell you that they’ll send you the check in instructions the day of. Not so. I had to follow up with the property owner to get the access code 2 hours past the check in time, at 6:20pm… not ok. When I arrived there was a musty smell everywhere in the unit, the sheets and bedding were actually damp (try sleeping on that), and the bathroom was not cleaned from whoever was there previously. Dust and hair in the bathtub and sink. Didn’t seem to be ‘cleaned’ at all. I would have rather spent my money to stay in a hotel than here. Overall I was extremely tired and disappointed.

Thanks for the six-hour stay, Alanna! It would have been helpful if you brought these concerns to us while you were here so we could address them. I'm shocked you didn't mention these issues when we asked if you had any concerns despite staying up till 1 a.m. for your arrival. While I can't question your motives, I know that every other review on VRBO has noted how clean and comfortable our suite is, so I will let those refute your claim. We wish you all the best in your travels.
