We have stayed at Portage Lake every summer for the past 18 years so we were familiar with the location and layout of the condos. This one is very well decorated, so cute! View of the lake is amazing. The cleaning staff is so kind and helpful. The owner is very responsive. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Beautiful Condo!

We so enjoyed our stay at Portage Point! We have been several times in the past and this was our favorite condo! We enjoyed being on the first floor. The condo was so clean, enjoyable, and the decor is nicely done! We will be back and hope to rent this one again!

The place was clean and functional. I think the bedding and mattress could be a bit better. It would have been nice to have coffee available, but overall a good, clean place and a good value.

Great weekend on Portage Lake

We went to Onekama for the wedding of one of our friend's daughters. The location is beautiful and, of course, it was a wonderful experience. The condo was very well cleaned (we met the cleaning folks - they were great). It is "small" but you don't want to spend time in the condo, anyway. They need new sheets for the bed and batteries for one of the remote controls. Internet connection is "iffy" but, again, you don't go to a place like Portage Lake to sit in the condo and do emailing, etc. Overall, a very good experience.

Five Days of Bliss

I had an exceptional stay at the condo on Portage Lake. The condo was clean as a whistle and had everything I needed and more. The furnishings and appliances are updated and like brand new. The view of the lake was incredible. The amenities of the resort were also outstanding..... the pool is great and relaxing in the lounge chairs by the pool overlooking the lake was awesome. The mornings were cool and the days were warm. No air conditioning or heat was needed during my stay. Having the sliding door with screen open provided excellent ventilation and fresh air. There were less than a handful of other guests on the property, so it was quiet. The location provided easy access to Lake Michigan, the Arcadia Marsh and Preserves, Frankfort, Manistee, and Sleeping Bear.

Beautiful views, tired facility

We loved the location and views of this condo, and the patio was wonderful (we were able to have 6 people sit at the table). The kitchen was well stocked. It was not as clean as I would have hoped, and it lacked some basic items (dishwasher pods, batteries for the air conditioner remote, trash bags). The biggest concern for us was the general decline of the resort. The pool and whirlpool were great, but everything else seemed tired and neglected. I would not recommend coming without a car. The restaurant is closed 3 days/week and no restaurants deliver.
