Large accommodation with plenty of space for everyone to spread out and stay, gorgeous natural pool and ‘hot tub’, and huge main room perfect for hosting guests. Movie room was a great addition as well, with very comfortable seating.

It was a perfect little paradise in under two hours away from home. We were lucky to ger some sun and get to soak in the beautifully maintained pool and spa. All amenties were clean and the home was spacious. Brendan was very accomodating and it was great to chat to him. All in all would love to stay again, maybe a little longer next time

Amazing family getaway

Owners very friendly and welcoming, The house and facilities were all clean and well maintained. Stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Very pleased with this stay. Would come again and highly recommend to family and friends.

Lovely grounds, shared house with hosts

Lovely grounds and spacious house, however it does need to be clearer in the description that you will be sharing the house with the owners. There is only a sliding door between their space and the guest rooms, we could hear the family until quite late, and the washing machine was on late at night which was in the guest area. Hosts were lovely and helpful.

Fun filled family weekend

Great property Loved the natural pools and large living room. We had Grandma, 3 sons and 7 grandchildren and partners for Grandma's birthday. There was plenty of room to spread out and play board games which was our theme for the weekend We just love spending time away together.

Just the reset we all needed

We came for the natural swimming pool and hot tub and it did not disappoint! The hosts Brendan and Edwina were just amazing and welcoming. We were greeted and given the tour of the home, settled in and spent three amazing days by the pool relaxing in the sun. The pool is just incredible as is the entire property. We could have really done so much while there but opted for relaxation and lazing around. We had my Daughter in-laws two dogs with us, they just lived the property and were absolutely pooped from all the running around and swimming. The drive there and surrounding areas are lovely. Food and pubs close by also. What a beautiful place and amazing place to share with guests. Thank you for making our stay special and for your wonderful hospitality. Faye and family.

Absolutely perfect

Overall impression - beyond expectations. I am a bit lost for words, most compliments don't seem adequate. I have never seen such a beautiful set up for a holiday property, or received such graceful hosting. We were a big group and every person who came wanted to book this property for their future event. I fantasised about hiding in the bush and staying forever.Brendan and Edwina are onsite and exceptional hosts. So much gratitude, just fantastic, waaaaaay above and beyond.This place is everything you need and the location will soothe your soul (except the driveway, which will rock your world! - I did it in a Toyota Yaris so anyone can do it!).I can only really say you will not regret booking this place, there are too many awesome things to mention here - the water is magnificent, hot tub amazing, view so satisfying, house spacious and accommodating, movie room, millions of comfy beds, so close to great wineries and the city. Just remember there's no oven in the house but as with everything, Brendan can probably sort you out if this is an issue for you! If you're having any kind of gathering in any weather, just go here. I cannot literally recommend this place highly enough.Thank you so much for having us Brendan and Edwina, I hope to meet you again on another awesome trip! I hope you are so proud of what you have made, thank you for sharing it with us.

Absolutely fantastic

Family retreat in ppcket of paradise

Great home in a beautiful location. Stunning views with gorgeous outdoor area and pool and spa. Brendan was so helpful and accommodating and even took all our adult kids for a ride in the back of the ute around the property showing them and teaching them about the carious plants to be found. Would definitely look to go back, especially given how close it is to the Yarra Valley and wineries.

Beautiful view

We did not realise that we would not be alone on the property for the duration of our stay, but we had privacy for the most part. Gorgeous views and the pool makes for very beautiful pictures.

It is a great location, not too far from Melbourne. Natural hot springs are worth it alone; just help Brendan cut up wood. We got it up to 43-44 degrees at one stage. Brendan helped us with the brick pizza oven outside, too. Brendan is super helpful. The hosting space in the middle area is so big we didn't actually know what to do with all the space. We had a cinema night, too. It was super comfy. The kitchen is smallish, but we still managed to cook a feast. Some of the bedding is listed differently, but Brendan will sort you out; just let him know what you need. The place also hosts weddings, so it's set up for hosting if that's what you want!

The owners, Brendan and Edwina have built this property over many years using the resources available. The house and all of the outbuildings have been made using timber from the property, via the on-site mill; mostly using the tall mountain ash that dominate the area. The Natural swimming pool has been fashioned using the stunning granite boulders that abound.

Toolangi Heights is a unique property which offers a different experience in a location within easy reach of Melbourne, that feels so much further away.

The views of the mountain ranges are just as breathtaking as the tall mountain ash forests that abound. Enjoy viewing starry skies away from the light pollution of big cities and wake up to an abundance of bird-life; particularly the kookaburras that abound here.

There are over 8km of walking tracks to be explored on the 60 acre property and many others nearby to suit any level of bush-walker.

The Wirra Willa Rainforest boardwalk is close by as are the Murrundindi Cascades and the Mount Saint Leonards lookout; where you can take in all of greater Melbourne on a clear day!
