Nestled in the award-winning eco-community The Cape, Whales and Wombats is a beautifully designed, star-rated sustainable home just moments from nature and community amenities.
As one of the first homes of its kind in the area, it offers both comfort and conscious living. Located just a short stroll from the new whale-watching platform, you’ll also find a community EV charger just 50 metres from the back gate. Step straight out to basketball courts, community vegetable garden, tennis, and bowls facilities – all part of your backyard experience!.
This spacious holiday retreat features:
4 bedrooms, 7 beds, 2.5 bathrooms, 2 separate TV/living areas
Only a 5-minute drive to the stunning beaches, tidal rock pools, and dramatic coastline of the breathtaking Bass Coast.
This property sleeps 10 guests only.
The house is 2 stories overlooking beautiful rural views.
Bedroom 1 - Master king with ensuite downstairs
Bedroom2 - queen with single bed - upstairs + ceiling fan
Bedroom3 - queen with single bed upstairs + ceiling fan
Bedroom4 - 2 x single beds + ceiling fan
Family bathroom upstairs with second TV area and balcony overlooking stunning rural views.
Parking for 2 vehicles only
Pet-friendly note: Dogs are welcome! However, the yard is not fully enclosed. If you plan to bring more than two pets, please let us know before your arrival. The garden also backs onto a dog agility park, and kids’ play areas.

To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all guests and neighbors, we kindly ask that you follow these house rules:
No parties, events, or large gatherings
No Schoolies groups or guests under 25 without prior approval
No hens or bucks parties
No smoking inside the property
No caravans, tents, or additional accommodation on the premises
Pet Policy:
We welcome one well-behaved pet with prior approval. Additional pets may be allowed by request at the time of booking (extra charges may apply). Pets must stay off furniture and bedding. Please clean up after your pet in the yard — additional cleaning fees will apply if this is not followed.
Identification & Registration:
All guests are required to provide a valid Australian photo ID or passport during the booking process. By booking, you agree to our Terms & Conditions and the Short-Term Accommodation rules set by Bass Coast Shire under Local Law 1 – Neighbourhood Amenity.
