Charming Four Seasons Lake Front Renovated Cottage in Bala, Moon River Muskoka

The Farmhouse has beautiful south-facing panoramic views of Gaunt Bay on the Moon River. The interior of this historic property has been transformed into a modern farmhouse cottage retreat. The property has beautiful granite steps that lead you down to the first level with a fire pit and a hot tub overlooking the bay, then continue down to the spacious dock perfect for entertaining friends and family. Lots of green space for games.
The property includes approximately 240' of shoreline with expansive views over Moon River's largest bay. You enter the water through a soft sandy shoreline. After a full day of sunshine, relax on the spacious cottage's wrap-around porch, which has comfortable seating and a dining area.
This two-story farmhouse-style cottage provides remarkably spacious and comfortable accommodations for families or groups. The main level has a full-size kitchen, living room, large TV with satellite, dining space with views of the lake, primary bedroom with a desk/monitor and 3-piece ensuite, powder room and laundry. Upstairs are three spacious bedrooms with beautiful lake views and a second washroom. The cottage comfortably sleeps up to 10 people in the four bedrooms. Bedding in each room includes 1 king, 1 queen, 1 queen and a room with two sets of bunk beds.

· 1,000 sq ft deck (wrap around the cottage and down by the water) with sunny south-facing exposure.
· Sand entrance into the water next to the dock

The Water
Moon River is often referred to as Muskoka's best-kept secret and is one of the longest open bodies of water in Muskoka. It has unique, isolated bays guarded by the surrounding Canadian Shield, perfect for cliff jumping. The Moon River survives in pristine condition, with incredibly low pH levels and in a class of its own in terms of cleanliness and water clarity.

The Farmhouse is nestled along the shores of Gaunt Bay off Lake Muskoka. The Cranberry Capital of Ontario (Bala) is only 5 minutes away! The quaint town is home to The Cranberry Festival, The Key to Bala, and the local favorite, Dons Bakery. A few minutes away is Muskoka Lake Farm and Winery. Another 15 minutes will take you to the hub of Muskoka (Port Carling), where you can shop and dine to your heart's content.
