The Gee Spot is in a great location and has plenty to keep you amused (board games, table tennis, boules and fuse ball) - whatever the weather. Check in was very easy and the kitchen was fully equipped (like being at home). It was peaceful with lovely surrounding views and we made use of the fire and the barbecue. It was thoughtful to leave a little gift and card in the fridge, which we appreciated and the spring flowers around the home were very welcoming.

Stayed at many places in Guilderton over the years, old and new. This place is old on the outside but nicely renovated on the inside. Michael the owner was warm and friendly to communicate with and has clear details of what we can expect. There was a also a lovely surprise when I opened the fridge, some very nice welcoming goodies to start the holiday off on the right spirit. Also enjoyed a few hours at the relatively new Moore River Brewery with my mates. Thanks again Michael, would be happy to stay again at your place.

Everything we needed for a classic beach holiday was available at the cottage. Plus the luxury extras of wifi, air con, smart TV with Netflix and the best TV couch around. The kitchen has all the mod xons, a short walk to the river/beach, and covered areas outside to hang out giving multiple living zones. Loved it!

Had a great stay in this beautiful coastal home with everything you need for a family. Great location as you can walk to all of the places you would want to see. Beach is right at your door step. Our host Michael was very welcoming and left some Christmas biscuits and a bottle of white wine on arrival. He answered my messages very quickly. Recommend anyone to stay here!

Beautiful beach holiday home

The Gee spot is a delightful beach holiday home and we loved every moment. The owner was prompt, helpful and courteous, the house was clean and beautifully presented, our dog and kids had plenty of space and options to relax, and best of all, only a 5 minute walk to the closest dog beach. We were sad to leave and hope to be back again one day.

After rescuing a water dog, we decided that being closer to the beach was essential to give him the best life after being in the pound system.

We fell over Guilderton, a sleepy beach town which feels like you have stepped back in time.

The shack needed a lot of love and attention to bring it back to it's former glory.. From ripping up carpets, fresh coats of paint, new kitchen and rewiring.
As fences are not common in town, we have continued with this theme.

"The Gee Spot" name was gifted to us from our neighbours up the road on Gee Street. It has been the instigator of many enjoyable conversations over the years with our guests..

Enjoy The Gee Spot experience!

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

Even on a busy long weekend.. Crowds may form at the river mouth however you are more than likely able to enjoy the beach across the road with minimal people..
Guilderton is great all year round!
In summer, enjoy the beach in the morning then, when (if) the wind kicks up, it's off to the Moore River for a dip.

Local tip - The walkway to the beach on the left of The Gee Spot is affectionately nicknamed "cardiac hill" by the locals for a good reason :) The less hilly track is to the right ;)

この宿泊施設の特徴

Guilderton accommodation offerings have seen a few changes in recent years. Whilst there are a number of shacks where you need to bring your own linen etc.. This is becoming less common.

We endeavour to make your stay as enjoyable as possible with a few differences such as:
Fresh Linen
Welcome gifts
Fastidious cleaner
Basic Pantry
Indoor and outdoor shower
Internet (faster than the city - thanks Telstra)
Complimentary Netflix
Outdoor zones - Included shed with games for adults and children
Hot and cold outdoor sink for fisherpeople or tidy up after a bbq
Seasonal herb garden
Local caretaker

Our team work hard to ensure you have a great time and are always on hand for any queries and we promote local events via our instagram TheGeeSpot_Guilderton
