Seven nights at your lovely abode. My brother and his family and me and most of my family. We cooked great meals at the house and spent lots of time listening to the creek outdoors. Best of locations and very comfortable beds.

Stay at Cole Creek Cabin

I actually am a little conflicted giving a review on this property as I want to keep it my secret. Truly an outstanding property top to bottom. Rustic and high end all in one. Perfectly located just a few blocks from Main St. Couldn’t have wished for a better place to spend a snowy Thanksgiving with the family.

Thanksgiving Family Gathering

We had an amazing time at the Cabin on Coal Creek. It fit our family of 6 perfectly and had all the things to make us feel comfortable for the Thanksgiving holiday. Great location with a short work to downtown and hiking trails. Absolutely perfect for our family and we hope to come back soon.

Incredible place to stay

We’ve stayed in multiple properties in CB, but this was our very favorite! Loved hearing the river flowing! And perfect location. Every detail in this home, from design to function, was perfect! We’ll be back!

Amazing “cabin” on the creek!!

We loved our 10 day stay in Crested Butte on Coal Creek. We loved hearing the creek as we sat outside or slept in the very comfy beds. The home was very well equipped with everything we needed. Very relaxing!! We’d definitely stay again. Hope we can in the near future.

Lovely Cabin on the creek at the edge of town

A lovely log cabin located right on coal creek. This fit our group perfectly and could not have been an easier/stress-free stay, especially with the creek babbling right next to the house. Everything was user friendly and easy to find. The kitchen is truly set for everything you need. I have never seen so many appliances, accessories and kitchen supplies available for VRBO guests. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Seamless check in and check out process. The hot tub and patios are so relaxing, peaceful and private. Even though it is on the road to Kepler Pass, the traffic was never an issue. It was actually a benefit being able to go straight out of the door and start a nice hike.

Second time to rent this beautiful rustic cabin that literally sits on top of Coal Creek. What a labor of love it was to position the cabin there!! It is fabulous. From the outdoor fire pit to the hot tub sitting 3 feet from the creek it’s just perfect. The property is well stocked and Iron Horse is easy to work with and efficient. Great stay in CB both times!!

Slice of heaven....peace,beauty, joy and happiness on a corner in the quaintest town in America.

Truly a piece of heaven tucked into this gorgeous town. The unique cabin is perched on coal creek. In my opinion, next to Casa de Tortugas....this is my favorite place in the world. The art in the home is a reflection of the owners and their quirky personalities shine and make you smile. Coal Creek cabin has an amazing kitchen....let’s face it, EVERYTHING is amazing in this home. I hope to return someday to this little slice of heaven. Thank you.

We reached the property about 20 minutes early and the door code wouldn’t work until the official check in time. Fair enough! (We left then, however management did promptly grant us admission when i called) After a long day of traveling, we just couldn’t wait to take warm showers. Unfortunately the hot water didn’t work! We let it run a bit, hoping pipes just needed warming up. We left for dinner, upon returning the water still wasn’t warming. That was a huge bummer to say the least! Management did come right out (stationed about 45 minutes away), telling us that it occasionally happens! For the price point, you would hope this recurrent issue is checked before someone comes to stay!? By late evening we did get to take showers, and management checked on it again the next day. Sure would have liked a discount for this day one major inconvenience. I am giving this house a 5 overall. Pretty well stocked ( just enough TP, no coffee, two dishwasher pods), and i wanted to be really mad about the cold water, but people, this place is BEAUTIFUL! Every space, carefully designed and special.We had fires every night, cooked several meals, our sons relaxed in the hot tub after their mountain adventures, we played cards, watched movies, walked to town…Its the perfect… THE perfect mountain home.Highly recommend! Truly.Crested Butte is so charming with top notch restaurants, walkable to property. (Just check the water right away, and bring your fav essential provisions.)

Excellent in every way!

First time in Crested Butte. Leaf peeping, hiking, exploring the cute town started and ended at this beautiful, fabulously appointed and very comfortable cabin right above the banks of Coal Creek! LOVED IT!

Wonderful stay in crested butte

We absolutely loved our stay here. There were 4 adults and one toddler and it was the perfect accommodation for us. Located just on the outside of town, it was quiet but we were still able to walk everywhere in town and to many hiking trails right from the house. Also bike trails were accessible right from the house. Would highly recommend!

The cabin was perfect. Add in the river/creek running alongside it and the fact that it’s on the edge of town yet 2 blocks from Elk makes it hard to beat. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks

Wish We Could Have Stayed Longer

What a great place to stay. We had the perfect amount of room for our family and my in-laws. The amenities were top notch and we were able to create some epic meals and the relax by the fire pit, or in the jacuzzi. We loved the comfortable beds and the cool bathrooms. All this and it’s literally just 3 blocks from the main drag. Hope we get to stay here again, we did not want to leave!!

Can’t say enough great things about the Coal Creek Cabin. Perfect location in Crested Butte…edge of town on Coal Creek but still close enough to walk everywhere. Will definitely be back!
