This 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom, Rangeley vacation rental cabin is a year-round home base for exploring Maine’s stunning outdoor spaces! Located just off the shore of Rangeley Lake, 'Balsam' features a Finnish-inspired interior, a spacious covered porch equipped with a gas grill, and a cozy fire pit to ensure lakeside living at its finest. If snow is in the forecast, hit the slopes nearby at Saddleback Mountain! After a day of fun, return home to curl up on the couch with some popcorn and a movie.

Great Place to Stay

The cabin was very cozy. It was clean, as advertised and everything worked as it should. I will definitely look for this cabin in the future when I’m heading to Rangeley!

Cozy cabin on the lake

The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The layout was good and functional. Only issue is that we didnt realize there is no dishwasher but not a big deal. Great location on the lake.

This cabin is even cuter in person! You can tell that quality materials were used everywhere, from the pristine floors that lack a single squeak; to the extremely relaxing and convenient gas fireplace and beautiful gas stove that made cooking a breeze. The showers are hot, and the upstairs bedroom is cozy with extremely comfortable beds that would make a slew of kids (or a whole family) feel right at home. The gorgeous lakefront view from the big picture windows made the cabin feel bigger than it is. Every touch is felt with intention in this cabin, down to the memorable double Adirondack rocker and double Adirondack with drink table on the porch. We never got a chance to hop in the sauna (though it was steps away from the cabin) because we were too busy skiing at the scenic, family-friendly Saddleback Mountain. But I did take a peek in just out of curiosity and it looked mighty tempting. The cabin was easy to access on our own. All tenants kept to themselves and the little campus is very quiet and respectful. The host was super prompt in answering any questions and bent over backwards to make our stay even more perfect. We will definitely be back!

Place is very comfortable, clean , well provisioned, and quiet. Close to the IGA for food and close to the main town, restaurants and town docks. Only issue was the Weber grill was not cleaned for an extended time, had grease build up and thr grease caught on fire the first time. Frames shooting out and too close to , porch railing and the propane tank. Very dangerous until I cleaned it .No other issues. Recommendations - a shade on the door windows and a binder with instructions for simple things like the door locks.

Love in Rangeley

It was me and my husbands first trip up here in the winter. Always stayed elsewhere during summer, so wanted to try something new for some needed away time, and thought about trying a cabin. Immediately by looking at the pictures listed in the site we were blown away. It had an amazing feeling of true maine beauty, and looked as nice as a stay in a hotel. Then being there was just as wonderful. Everything was as shown and there was plenty of games to keep us occupied, and nights were breathtaking with the fire and a movie. All instructions left were clear and didnt have any issues with the cabin. Definitely coming back again next year or maybe try in the summer to get that true experience of the views and water that is Rangeley.
