Perfect place to stay. Accommodation was clean, spacious and had everything you need. Location was spot on! Close to the beach, ocean baths, restaurants and cafes. It was so easy to get around with the light rail. We had a great time and I would highly recommend.

The location is excellent - for our group that enjoyed swimming, access to the coast walk and good dining and bar options. What really stood out was that this place is stocked with everything you could need - beach towels, a full kitchen, endless coffee pods, a big milk, a Bluetooth music box… there’s a lot of attention to detail and we didn’t want for anything.

Great location and great host. This is a perfect place to stay in Newcastle. Close to the beach, on the tram line, tons of nice restaurants and bars. The house was roomy and the host stocked it fully with everything you might need. The owner worked to get us in early and was in constant contact to see if we needed anything. She was great.

A wonderful stay in Newcastle!From the moment we arrived, Danielle’s warm welcome card set a beautiful tone for the weekend. The home was spotless, thoughtfully styled, and had everything we needed to feel completely comfortable. Danielle’s attention to detail and personal touches made our stay extra special, it truly felt like a home away from home.We couldn’t have asked for a better host or a more relaxing getaway to attend one of our dear friend Shannon's 50th Birthday. Great weekend away stay

My partner wanted to bring his bicycle and do a tour in the morning. I stayed in the house. It offered lots more room to move than any of the hotels offered. The location is great. The pub nearby had food on offer till the late hours and had a nice atmosphere. The coffeeshops nearby had great breakfast and wonderful service. Loved our stay

Newcastle East Retreat

This property was perfect for our recent family stay in Newcastle East. The unit was beautiful, peaceful, and welcoming. Everything you need and more for a comfortable stay has been provided. The location is central to beaches, transport, and town. The host was thoughtful and easy to communicate with. We really enjoyed our time and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Hi, I’m a Newcastle East local through and through — I grew up just around the corner in Cooks Hill, and the ocean has always been my happy place. Living here means I get the best of both worlds: salty swims and sandy toes one minute, cocktails and good food the next. I’m equally happy chatting over a margarita at a local bar as I am wandering the streets soaking up the laid-back city vibe.

My hosting journey started a little unexpectedly when we bought one of the iconic terraces in Newcastle East. It was full of character but in need of some serious love. What began as “let’s see how this goes” quickly turned into something I adore.

I’ve always had a love for property, design, and making people feel at home — and I’ll admit I’m a bit of a neat freak (presentation is everything!). Creating a space that’s both beautiful and welcoming came naturally, and it’s become something I’m truly passionate about.

Now, a few years in, I can honestly say I’ve found my calling. Hosting brings together my love of this stunning city, my eye for detail, and my joy in sharing Newcastle’s best bits with visitors from all over.

Everything’s super walkable — cafes, restaurants, beaches, lookouts, and playgrounds are all just minutes away. Pop on the light rail, and you can be downtown or exploring the West End in no time. Whether you’re after a lazy beach day, a healthy smoothie, or a cheeky cocktail with a view, Newcastle East has you covered.

This isn’t your run-of-the-mill short-term rental — our terrace has personality! Vintage touches meet sophisticated charm, creating a space that’s full of character yet freshly renovated so it still feels brand new. We’ve kept some of the original features too, giving it that special, one-of-a-kind feel.

Ocean glimpses, sunlight galore from two skylights, and plenty of windows mean you can soak up the salty sea breezes and the kind of sunshine that makes everything feel a little more healing.

And yes, we’re a little obsessive about presentation — spotless, immaculate, and sparkling clean is our standard. You’ll walk in and feel instantly at home… and a little impressed too.
