And I say to myself, what a wonderful house! Best of Canaan welcomes LJ’s Lodge to our list of extra nice vacation rental homes. It is a short walk to the hiking trails of the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge. It is an even shorter walk to Timberline Mountain’s ski slopes! Year round, LJ’s Lodge offers easy access for skiing, hiking, mountain biking and so much more. Relax inside and enjoy free WIFI, multiple TV’s, air hockey, a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of comfortable places to rest and rejuvenate. This house pairs perfectly with The Great Escape, Archers Run and all of Woods End. All are within walking distance with quick and easy access to Blackwater Falls, Davis, and Thomas. You are going to love it here at LJ’s Lodge! 2 Night Rentals Available Spring and Summer. Call for pricing.

Great location, house is fine

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very convenient to Timberline. House is in ok shape but we had issues with ants in the kitchen and heat regulation in the house is challenging to balance. The room with bunk beds is technically not a bedroom (no closet) and does not have HVAC registers in it so room got cold at night with the door closed and no option to heat individually. Overall we had a good time and we’re traveling with kids so the niceties were not important, but house could use some work.

Perfect Spot for A Christmas Ski-cation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I searched for a vacation rental on the go-to sites and couldn’t find anything that had it all; beds for 2 adults and 4 almost adult kids (14-22), enough space to stretch out, all the comforts of home to cook and share a meal, and most importantly - a hot tub. LJ’s Lodge was PERFECT! It had sleeping space for all of us plus more, multiple bathrooms, air hockey, a stocked kitchen, tv’s, 2 gas fireplaces, and a hot tub! The home was very clean and the “rules” for check-in / out were simple and reasonable (compared to the other sites...you know which ones I’m talking about). We walked in our ski boots to Timberline Lodge in less than 10 minutes. That was the icing on the cake with this house, perfect location! There was a ski run 30-50 ft from the back door too! It had two mud rooms to store ski coats, pants, boots, etc and the porch had a ski rack that fit all of our equipment. Don’t book this next Christmas because I’m going to snag it first! We loved it!
