Wonderful stay!

The host was extremely accommodating and helped us with so many good places to visit and eat! The location was perfect spot and in driving distance to just about everything. It was a beautiful home and has everything you need for your family and your pet!

Beautiful place

The stay was great, host was very responsive to questions. Place is 30 mins outside of Niagara on the lake but if you drive it’s a nice drive to any place you want to go. Would stay again!

Fantastic Property!

So thankful we booked with Mary. From checkin and her welcome book, recommendations of restaurants and places to visit, to the sweet gestures with movie snacks - our stay was well beyond want we expected. If we travel back to Throld, we’ll be staying again!

Two weeks visiting family in St. Catharines, ON

This home has been renovated in an interesting and tasteful way to be comfortable and enjoyable. We are an elderly couple traveling with a small dog and found the property to be just right for us. Visiting family, enjoying the natural beauty and unique features of the Falls and surrounding area, visiting wineries and outstanding restaurants, and attending AAA youth hockey games consumed our time and made fine memories of the trip. Our host was gracious and the lodging experience was excellent.

Great Stay

My sister, our nephew, and I enjoyed our time at the home in the city. There is plenty of room to spread out and a very comfortable living room to watch streams on the large screen TV. We enjoyed time at the dining table outside and in the seating in the pleasant backyard. The home is convenient to Niagara Falls, Niagara Falls, and a plethora of wineries.

Cute and clean house in a nice neighbourhood

We loved to stay in Mary's house very much. The house is provided with everything you need, it is absolutely clean and has a very quiet and nice neighborhood. We enjoyed to have our breakfast at the terrace. The house is close to the Niagara Falls and to the wineries. The communication with Mary was great.

Baby and pet friendly!

The Cottage in the City is an intimate country retreat in one of the villages in the Niagra Falls area of Canada.It's centrally located to the falls and the Niagra-on-the-Lake wineries if you are sightseeing.Our stay was a bit different. We were picking up a new daughter in the dead of winter. I kept thinking, "Wow, I wish it was Spring because I bet this place would be wonderful."Don't get me wrong, the cottage was very comfortable this winter. The heater works well. The owner provided necessary supplies like salt to ice the walks and a shovel, and even came out and shoved the drive and the sidewalk for us once.There's some wonderful features that are more useful in warmer periods, such as the huge backyard and the lovely patio dinner table. We'll have to come back.The owners also provide infrastructure for families with babies, such as a bath, change pads, play pen, crib, etc. There's also infrastructure for your dogs such as dog blankets and an extra pen in case you have to leave pooch onsite for a bit. My dogs would have loved it there.All in all, I loved the location, and will come back again.

Thorold is a small town community in the centre of the Niagara Region. When you are not off exploring the local wineries, restaurants and theatres, beaches, and trails, have fun locally at the playground and splash pad around the corner on Sullivan street. Take a plunge in the Thorold's community pool or go for a walk through historic downtown Thorold, only a 10 minute walk away. With a nearby Gastro Pub, Retro Themed Diner, Vietnamese Restaurant and Parisian style patisserie, you don't have to go far to eat well.
