Great place to stay for a quiet retreat. Right on the water you can sit on the screened in back porch and enjoy quiet only disturbed by the sounds of birds or a fish jumping. At night it’s a great place to sit and watch fireflies and listen to the bullfrogs. We already want to plan our next stay.

Peaceful and beautiful

If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful place to stay, this is perfect. Close to shopping and trails. But far enough away to be private and secluded! Wonderful place to stay.

Awesome location and very friendly host that keeps his distance. Their dog (Izzy) is very sweet and made a big difference for my family on our stay after we recently lost ours. The cabin has a very rustic charm and could use a little bit of TLC like dusting some cob webs but in my opinion it added to the charm. The back porch area on the river is mesmerizing and was great to sit and watch people passing by on the river and the occasional fisherman. At night tons of light bugs and the AC in the cabin was great at keeping us cool. Would stay again!

Peaceful and serene

The property was excellent!! Loved the cabin- feel on the river. We saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed the serenity. Mark was the best host we could ask for! Would highly recommend this property.

Private getaway

Riverfront seclusion and beauty was relaxing and refreshing. Home is open and spacious with expansive view. Host was friendly and attentive, and Izzie the dog was a delight.

Wonderful Relaxing Weekend

We had a wonderful stay at Marks River retreat! Views from the home are gorgeous and one of kind. Amazing quiet piece of property tucked minutes away from everything you could need. Definitely would stay again given the chance! Mark was very nice and Izzy is a wonderfully well behaved girl! Thanks for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!

Peaceful Place

All I can say is WOW! Mark and Lee Earle were so nice and the property is incredible!! 100/10 we will for sure be coming back again! :D

Excellent

Great location and view of the river.Nice and quiet place to relax and recup with nature and mother earth.The owners were in the property but were very respectful of our privacy and very accommodating to my needs. They even offered to take me upstream to the spring from where the river flows. If you are looking for a quiet, simple place to relax with nature, then this is your place!

Bucolic View on the Wekiva Riber

The home is situated on a large property. The house is what you see in the pictures on the site. Clean and neat. The views from chairs on the river are outstanding. The river and the preserve on the other side lend themselves to views of nature in a quiet setting. Saw some eagles!The screened in porch is comfortable and allows for unobstructed views of the river and preserve. Definitely will visit again.
