The bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean. The linens were very nice on the beds. We appreciated every room had a fan as it was very warm and humid during our stay. In the future I will not stay at a pet friendly rental. We learned to light the candles the homeowner left to freshen up the smell of the downstairs.

Amazing Stay!

Me and some friends came up to the area for a golf weekend and we had the BEST time! Host was extremely communicative and helpful, and the house was perfect for our needs. I'd definitely recommend a stay here! Only tip - the rooms get very bright in the morning, so bring an eye mask if you want to sleep in!

Perfectly Lovely Home

Family stayed for 3 nights in complete comfort. Host was readily available if needed. House had everything we needed for a carefree weekend. A beautifully furnished home with a great back yard & lovely outdoor seating that accommodated many. Will definitely return!

Long weekend stay in Poughkeepsie

Our long weekend at Cynthia’s house was amazing! She communicated extremely well and was even flexible when it came to our check in time, which was great. The house was very clean and had everything we needed when it came to linens, towels and kitchen appliances. Would highly recommend if you need somewhere to stay in Poughkeepsie.

Weekend stay

We were in town for the weekend and wanted to be close to the Vassar campus. Location was great. Close to school and many restaurants. Host, Cynthia, was polite, prompt and informative. House was comfy. Loved the fireplace. We will be back.

Perfect and very nice!

I had rented the place for musicians visiting the area for an event. They all loved the house and the location..very quiet, safe and everything conveniently located. Cynthia is amazing and her prompt response and attention to details made everyone feel at home and enjoy their stay! I would recommend this place if you looking for a clean, quiet place in the area.

Graduation Perfection

The house is actually nicer than the pictures. The living rooms are spacious and have lots of seating. The dining room was very functional and the kitchen was great. Plenty of place settings for people and it worked really well for our family for our son’s graduation from Vassar. It is probably less than a mile from campus. Really enjoyed it. Beds were comfortable. Everything was very clean and if you wanted a fire there was plenty of wood. Really enjoyed it and already recommended it to a few parents of the junior class. Thanks for a great stay!

Family gathering for Vassar commencement

The house is comfortable, older and spacious - lots of room for our 8 -10 family members and a great yard. We enjoyed a cookout one evening. The location is convenient, very close to Vassar and downtown. We took the commuter train for two trips into NYC during our stay.

Historic Poughkeepsie Home Near Arlington & Vassar

Best home rental experience we have ever had. The house is great. Great backyard. Very large, well furnished, very clean and the AC units work great. The best part of the experience was the awesome property manager-Cynthia. She contacted us several time before our stay, made sure we got in on day one, and checked with us several times during the stay to see if we needed anything. She provided water, coffee, other items and gave us detailed and helpful instructions on the house. She is the best. We will definitely return in the near future.

This is a spacious and lovingly kept home on a big green stretch of land in a nice neighborhood. The interior is elegant, the towels and bedding are top of the line and the kitchen, which is obviously used by an actual human person as versus an empty rental agency, is fully equipped. I would note for travelers with small children that there are a lot of (beautiful!) breakable items around the home so be aware you will be constantly nervous if your kids are as active as mine are. The yard is great for kids however, and every room was comfortable and roomy enough for my family so there was no fighting over who slept where. The home owner stayed in a apartment in the garage and we would never had known if not for seeing her car. It felt and was private and welcoming.

Great Family Vacation in Poughkeepsie

Cynthia is a super host! She responded immediately to our needs and I can't thank her enough for making our stay more pleasant. The house was spacious and comfortable for our large family of 8. The backyard was amazing we saw a family of deer every morning and the kids just loved it. We had a BBQ one Sunday afternoon during our stay inviting some friends and family that lived locally and it was perfect. The house is very old so there are squeaky stairs and doors that don't close easily or quietly, but that it part of the charm of the house. The window air conditioning units kept the house cool and comfortable even in the unprecedented heat wave that was going on when we arrived. We spent 9 days in the house and would absolutely stay again.

We had a great stay at this Poughkeepsie home. It was nicely decorated, well-stocked and clean. The owner was super communicative and responsive. Nice property in a convenient location. We enjoyed the fireplace, comfortable beds and spacious rooms. We would definitely stay again.
