6pm checkout offered whenever possible.

Someplace Else is your perfect country getaway on 16 acres in Bonnie Doon overlooking Lake Eildon. The sunsets are breathtaking and a perfect way to end a day exploring the surrounds of the Mansfield Shire.

Just 15 mins to Mansfield, 5 mins to the local boat ramps on Lake Eildon and 40 mins to the Mt Buller gates. If you enjoy bike riding or hiking, our home is right on the doorstep of the Great Victorian Rail Trail.

Someplace Else is well set up for two families to share or multiple couples enjoying a getaway.

A fully-equipped kitchen, outdoor BBQ and both indoor and outdoor dining allows guests to enjoy a big cook-up.

We offer an outdoor games room where guests can play pool, table tennis, foosball and darts. We have plenty of board games for all ages.

Our property is home to an abundant wildlife including kangaroos, wombats, echidnas, rabbits and birds.

We have an unfenced dam and we back onto Lake Eildon - please supervise children and those who cannot swim at all times.
Please do not drive vehicles anywhere on the property other than the driveway.
We have a fire pit that can be used between April and October.

Family time

Property was amazingly equipped for many family members including kitchen but also games room. House was very clean and and we had amazing sunset views from the balcony. A great place to spend some quality family time.

Someplace Else

We had a fantastic time at Someplace Else. The view and sunsets from the balcony were amazing. The house was clean and had everything you would need. Plenty of games for the kids. House was a good size for 2 families of 4. I highly recommend Someplace Else as a place to stay.

Perfect Stay with Exceptional Amenities and Scenic Views

We had an amazing stay at this house! It had everything we needed, and my friends and I were really impressed with how well-prepared the owner was. The house was stocked with everything we could possibly need, making our stay incredibly comfortable. We were also offered the option to stay until late afternoon, which we gladly accepted. This was a huge plus, as it allowed us to enjoy a relaxing morning without having to rush. The amenities were fantastic—we had a great time playing ping pong, foosball, and billiards. The setting is incredible too, with beautiful natural surroundings and a lake view that added to the serene atmosphere. Overall, it’s a perfect place to stay. We will definitely consider coming back to this lovely house with such amazing hosts for our next trip. Highly recommended!

Nice Property But Was a Stressful Stay

Nice, clean and good holiday location but the cameras on-premise are too privacy intrusive. We’ve gone over the limit because only 10 people were allowed and we’ve been penalized. We knew it’s our fault but we felt the penalty was a bit harsh. I would have expected lesser $ per person penalty. It was a stressful stay due to multiple eviction warnings despite promising to pay the penalty. We left early morning as opposed to 6PM checkout but cleaned the house properly.

Pictures didnt do it justice

This place was ABSOLUTELY beautiful!! The views were amazing! We went for my partners 30th birthday with friends, the weather wasnt great but the garage with all the games kept us entertained the whole weekend! We went for a nice walk on the property which gave you 360 degree views of boonie doon was so cool. We were so happy with our stay. They had everything we needed.
