Great Family Home

lovely home

the property was lovely. Alex was so kind and welcoming showing us around and giving us advice on what’s best around the area. Highly recommend this place.

Our stay

We enjoyed our short stay at this property surrounded by bush. Nice & quiet and close to beaches, shops & Nelson Bay. Alex was a great host. He was very helpful & showed us around when we arrived. Thanks for letting us be your first guests.

Interior of house was adequate size wise.Many power points and lights did not work inside the property.Inadequate outside lighting, solar lights to front gate not operational and no lights to back patio.Host had told me there was a glitz with the kitchen power but there were extension cords and powerboards overloaded throughout the property inside and outside making it unsafe. One guest tripped over an extension cord in the front yard.Main bathroom floor became fully wet while using the shower making towels and clothing left on the floor wet. Separate toilet was not in use.No bed linen for floor mattress in bunk room even though we booked for 3 children.Outside yard and gardens were very untidy and overrun with weeds looked nothing like photos on website.I hosted an 80th birthday and it was embarrassing when guests arrived at the property.

Nestled in Nature

We had a great stay and the house was super comfortable but the weather sadly was awful. Lots and lots of rain but the hot spa undercover on the back patio was enjoyed immensely. We had lots of books to read and the furniture was very comfy. Bed had firm mattress for sleeping and good reading lights beside the bed. Kitchen very well set up and best cooking saucepans and frying pans we have ever had in a holiday rental. The garden and trees are very beautiful and it was so relaxing. Even with all the rain everything looked so lush and the colours on the tree trunks were stunning. Short drive everywhere for local restaurants etc and dont miss Two Bobs sourdough bakery in Nelson Bay!! Alex was an outstanding kind host and we have already rebooked another stay and hopefully the weather will be better!!
