Prancing Pony Glamping Dome at Shirewoods Farm

A countryside retreat overlooking pastures with both wildlife and horses.

Enjoy a relaxing getaway at Prancing Pony located on a 37 acres farm kitty-corner to Hemer Provincial Park.

There's a deck to lounge in the sun, a gazebo sun shelter, and a fire pit. In the evening, frogs serenade you from the nearby pond.

Our cozy dome features a comfortable queen-sized bed and a 3-piece bathroom, complete with a toilet, shower, and sink.

The kitchenette is equipped with a microwave, mini fridge and sink, and there’s a BBQ outside by the picnic table for cooking & enjoying meals outdoors.

Shirewoods Farm Glamping accommodations offer a unique agri-tourism experience, available seasonally from Spring to Fall. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the farm and nature while enjoying comfortable, rustic glamping options during our peak outdoor season. Perfect for those looking to connect with nature and experience farm life firsthand!

Very nice, peaceful area. Comforable accommodation with excellent views. Kitchenette and full wr included in the dome. The host was great and very helpful.

A sweet little farm getaway

This was just a quick overnight getaway for us. We needed some relaxation and we got it. We enjoyed the deck for almost the entire day. I could watch the goats, sheep, horses and ducks go by all day. The space is super clean, quiet and has a lovely view.

What a fabulous place!

The dome was a one of a kind, fun experience. It was exactly as expected, even better! Bernadette was quick and very pleasant to deal with. Her son, Jordan was wonderful showing me around the farm and meeting the animals. I perfect weekend. I would definitely go back!

Just spent our 10 year wedding anniversary here with our two labs! The dome is fantastic, has everything you need and then some. We had planned a few outings but ended up just staying in, ordering food, and enjoying the amazing view of the farm animals! In the morning we were taken on a wonderful tour of the entire farm, got to meet Tommy the turkey, goats, chicken, geese, pigs, sheep, and 4 gorgeous horses. The eggs from the chickens were delicious and a wonderful surprise too! Our dogs were beyond happy here, the noises and smells were so exciting for them. It was very difficult to leave today but we will definitely be coming back!!!

Coolest vrbo EVER

By far the most unique rental we've ever booked and Bernadette is just the most lovely soul! She accomodated a very last minute much needed couples getaway. Really unique quite little spot and watching the animals was so fun. All the comforts of home, hot running water,flush toilet, kitchenette and eating area with a really cool view. The place was also really well equiped, we didnt cook but you easily could. The place was spotlessly clean and the bed super comfy! Location might be abit remote for some but it was just far enough off the beaten track for us, 10 min to Ladysmith, 15 min to Naniamo, so pretty easy access. There are other campsites on the property but enough space that it still feels retry private. Bernadette even introduced us to her son and the farm animals, really neat spot!
