This stay was not a very good one.1. The front door lock would not unlock with code. Had to call and get the actual key.2. AC was not keeping up but found 4 windows were left open.3. All upstairs bedroom receptacles were not working. Found 2 tripped breakers.4. The master bedroom door has the door locked taped over to keep from latching. Tape broke and I was stuck in the room at one point. Managed to finally get the door to unlatch.5. The glass door at the front door kept having the handle come off.6. The kitchen did not appear to have hot water but it was actually plumbed backwards so cold is actually hot.7. The garage is listed in VRBO to use but was not usable. One of the main reasons we picked this house.8. The refrigerator has something wrong with it and was only barely keeping cool.

First at the top of my list is the drugs and drug paraphernilia found in the pantry. Obviously my reservation indicated 6 children are staying in the house I would expect someone would take more responsibility to ensure the safety of guest staying at the rental. I'm at a loss as to why no has bother to respond to this or take steps to help me dispose of the drugs is unacceptable. Refrigerator would not stop pouring out water and ice when the water dispenser was used for the first time. Instead of offering an apology or providing assistance to help I was told we broke it and it was our issue to deal with. The customer service rep was rude and not helpful. As a second time VRBO user I could not believe how I was treated and I'm not sure I will use your service to rent another property. The service level and the condition of the house is unacceptable for what I paid. No pool key despite looking in the kitchen, office and folder there was not one located in the house. Again with 6 children the pool was a selling point for us. There were dead insects and cob webs in kitchen, bathroom and main living space. With a 2 year old this was a concern and as a guest we had to vaccum and remove the insects. Broiler pan was full of old grease that had to be cleaned before use, utensils were not clean which indicated the entire house needs to be cleaned and ready to be used as advertised. Unacceptable as a renter and someone who has used VRBO before. Very disappointed and dissatisfied

Underwhelming

If you’re looking for very very basic accommodation in SW Indy then it’s ok. Issues started on arrival as door code didn’t work. Fortunately there was a key box but it’s located next to garage door not next to front door as indicated. Grass was a month past needing to be cut. Garbage can in back was beyond full upon arrival. At least half the outlets don’t work. Lights missing bulbs or not working. Not enough towels or bedding to accommodate 12 people despite listing indicating up to 12 and when notified of this host insisted it was only up to 10 and that they could charge me - sent them VRBO listing showing up to 12. No dish soap or dish washer fluid and sponge was filthy. Extra fridge sitting unplugged in Kitchen. Fridge water/ice dispenser broken and leaks odd white fluid. Garbage disposal doesn’t work & sink backs up as a result & since there is a plunger under sink this is obviously an ongoing known issue. No extra toilet paper or paper towels. Not enough pans/plates/bowls. Luckily goodwill is close so I bought a pan and towels needed for our stay. Host is responsive but offered no solutions just rationale for why they don’t provide many of the standard items a rental should have - for example a dining table is not supplied as the dining area is carpeted and carpet cleaning is expensive! They require you run dishwasher upon checkout but no dishwasher detergent? lol. Overall I would only recommend staying here if you’ll be out & about 90% & limited need to cook meals.

The House is Spacious but the AC is not good

The house itself is spacious and works great however, the neighbors don't like having other people there. They were very unhappy and let us know. The AC didn't work correctly and the house stayed above 80 degrees until the property management company said they would reimburse us for portable AC units. The house is spacious and it feels like it was nice once but a lot of the repairs and things have been very "slapped on." Not a house I would stay in again though the management company was actually pretty good. The house was just unable to cool down and very unwelcoming neighborhood. 2 star vs 1 star because the only saving graces were large house size and a good property management company.

Has to be the worst.

Communication started off great with Kevin. I texted him right after booking. Then come check in day. The door code and security system code didn’t work. A couple of hours after arrival we found that the refrigerator wasn’t working. Texted Kevin and he made arrangements for a repair. They never showed up. Kevin tried to get us a new appliance, he was denied by the owner. We had to go buy coolers and ice to keep our groceries from spoiling. Kevin eventually gave us the owners number. She was not as nice as he was. Snappy unprofessional responses and no solutions. Revolve issued us a partial refund of $60 on a 3 night stay. One of our party nearly was locked in the bathroom because the door knob almost fell off. Needless to say it wasn’t the most relaxing weekend. We were in town for a basketball tournament. Gathered a few families and thought we could save some money by eating in and splitting the cost. We ended up having to eat out most meals and canceled out any savings. Luckily our boys were able to pull it out and win the tournament even with all the distractions.
