5 star stay! 1. Location, location, location. House situated right on the pond. No neighbors nearby (new house being constructed across the pond, but that's it). Easy to get to nearby towns and state parks. 2. House beautiful, inside and out. Lots of hang out zones... outside there's a deck off of house, deck off of dock, fire pit. Inside the main living area is open, couches super comfy plus we loved all the cozy blankets provided. Kitchen was well stocked. King size beds in every room a win. Bathrooms had lovely touches like soft towels and amenities. 3. Great host. Kim was the best - proactive and responsive. Answered all our questions ahead of our trip. Offered us both early check in and late check out with no charge. And was always available for us if we needed anything during our stay (which we didn't but it was nice to know). Look forward to our next stay here! Loved it!

This is a beautiful lake property. It is at the dead end of the road. It provided plenty of privacy. We were there to visit a very sick relative, so the situation surrounding this stay at the lake house was stressful. However, staying at this beautiful house certainly helped the matter. We did have a visitor come and stay with us, which was unplanned but necessary. I don’t think the housekeeper was very happy with me. However, I offered my apologies for any inconvenience I caused her.

Perfect place to stay for Virginia adventures

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Healy's Pond. The place was clean, private and was a beautiful stay to recharge after adventures at nearby Yorktown, Williamsburg and Jamestown. Our host, Kim, was incredibly helpful and communicative during our stay. We greatly appreciated her attentive support during check-in, stay and checkout, would love to book with her again!

Everything about this place is so special. Kim, the caretaker was amazing, helpful and accommodating! The house was spotless! The most organized and well appointed kitchen I've ever seen! Amenities are endless, with the greatest attention to detail to the little details that made our stay so fun and comfortable.

Healy's Pond Stay

We had a wonderful and calm two nights. My husband and I were so relaxed. The home is in a great woodland setting with privacy. The pond could be viewed just outside the front door. The home's landscaping enhanced the site. The dock area is attractive. We had planned to use the kayaks but it was a little too chilly. Three bathrooms - no waiting! The king suite upstairs is huge. Clearly, the home was outfitted for comfort.Thank you for the lovely sprigs of lavender on the towels. We would love to come back again.

Girls weekend getaway

Beautiful property inside and out. The house was very clean. We did notice the smell of what seemed to be old cigarette smoke. The beds were very comfortable and the house was well stocked. We loved the quietness and the views. Would stay there again.

We had a wonderful time staying here. This was more of a stay in and relax type vacation for us. House was very comfortable. I enjoyed fishing the pond "more like a small lake". Fishing from the dock was hit or miss but once we got in the supplied kayaks things, I started catching them left and right. Any questions we had were promptly answered by Kim the host. Don't hesitate to reach out to her, she's wonderful. We definitely plan on returning. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Exceptional View

Loved this location - the kayaks were an added bonus! Very quick communication with property manager / owner. Highly recommend. Our dogs loved the property, too! Great main table area great for family games. Whole family was happy with the comfortable beds.

This was an beautiful property, clean, with an awesome view. The picture do not due it justic. Kim, the contact person & manager was amazing. Responded when you called and alway offered a warm greeting with a helpful attitude. I will most defintely come back to this gorgeous oasis. We love fishing off the pier. Hubby had a wonderful fathers day weekend.

Relaxation at its best!

Exceptional home in a lovely location. The home was exactly as pictured, well taken care of and very clean with everything you need for your stay. The location was so quiet and peaceful that it made it hard to leave. The grocery store was just a few minutes away as well as restaurants of a wide variety in Urbanna and White Stone within 15 minutes. Gloucester and Mathews are close (25 min) with several amazing restaurants and lots of antique and consignment shops to explore. Piankitank Golf Course is wihin 10 minutes from the house. I have stayed many times in the surrounding area and this home is by far the best home I have stayed in. The owner has given a lot of attention to every detail from comfortable beds and pillows, extra blankets, to the installation of an exceptional water filtration system. The pond right outside the door provides a wonderful view but the supplied kayaks allow a great day paddling. My husband fished both days (catch and release) and the fish were plentiful. I took quiet walks taking in the lovely nature scenes surrounding the property. The birds were wonderful to watch and we saw everything from herons and ospreys to even a bald eagle. I can hardly wait to return and it was very very hard to leave! We were so grateful to have found this home and hope to be back in the fall!

Great spot!

We were in the area for the annual Gloucester Daffodil Festival where we've served crab cakes for the past 15 years. We didn't get to spend much time in the house, as it's a busy weekend for us, but would say it's a great choice for lodging if you're in the area. The house is immaculate, well stocked, spacious and comfortable. It sits at the end of a quiet road, on a nice little pond (some would say smallish lake) great for kayaking and fishing. The owners are very responsive to needs/requests, as is Tina the property contact.It's very close to Saluda and Urbanna, and a 1/2 hr. drive to Gloucester. I would absolutely recommend this rental for your stay.The only drawback was limited ability to stream on the TV. Normally we wouldn't have been concerned with this but it was the Final Four weekend! Make sure you have a hot spot on your phone if you want to watch live sports.Cheers!The Crabdaddy
