Spacious Cottage w/ Ocean Views & On-Site Sauna – C1

Cottage 1 is a spacious three-bedroom waterfront cottage designed for comfort, convenience, and easy access. The cottage can be reached via a ramp from the paved parking area and offers a level entry, making it well-suited for guests who prefer minimal stairs. Inside, the layout is open-concept, with the kitchen, dining, and living areas flowing together in one bright and comfortable space.

The cottage features one king bed, one queen bed, and one double bed, along with two full bathrooms. One bathroom includes a walk-in shower with wider clearance for easier use. Guests will also enjoy a wood-stove fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, a private deck with a propane BBQ (propane provided), Wi-Fi, and internet TV — everything you need for a relaxing coastal stay.

As part of Wilson’s Coastal Club, guests in Cottage 1 enjoy access to our private waterfront grounds, beach, and shared resort amenities.

Sauna & Firewood (Additional Cost):
Our wood-fired oceanfront sauna is available on a first-come, first-served basis and is shared with other cottages. To use the sauna, guests are required to sign a waiver and purchase a tote of firewood for $15 + tax per session. This helps maintain the traditional wood-fired experience.

Additional firewood can be purchased at the office during office hours (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, daily, excluding holidays) for $15 + tax per tote.

Gear Rentals (Seasonal, Additional Cost):
Guests can rent outdoor gear during office hours, including:

-E-Bikes: $25 + tax per day (10:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
-Stand-Up Paddle Boards: $15 + tax per hour
-Kayaks: $15 + tax per hour

Availability is seasonal and weather dependent.

Pets:
Pets are welcome, with a limit of one pet per visit. If you would like to bring an additional pet, please check with us in advance.
All pets are subject to a $50 + tax per pet fee.

Additional Guests
For one-night reservations, no additional guests are permitted on site beyond the number listed in the booking.

On-Site Laundry:
A washer and dryer are available for guest use on a seasonal basis. Please message to confirm.

The cottage was clean and well supplied with everything we needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The area is really lovely and we enjoyed hiking the Rails to Trails pathway which is just across the road from the camp.

An issue took a couple of days to get fixed but the host was on top of it the whole time working with maintenance. Would definitely stay here again- very comfortable and clean- highly recommend!

Super cute cottage, plenty of room (cottage #1). Responsive, accessible office staff on property and everyone was very friendly. Property is well kept up. Note that the photo of a cottage in the listing is just one of the cottages and most are not right on the beach like that. But a very short distance away. I would highly recommend.

Great stay

Had a lovely time. The cottage was beautiful and well located. The rooms were very comfortable and well furnished. Hosts were very responsive and pleasant. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the fact that the sauna was shared. Some of the other tenants didn’t let us use the sauna and that was unpleasant. Maybe they should consider writing that people shouldn’t use/keep the sauna for themselves for more than a set amount of time ex. 30 minutes.

A great place to relax

The cottage was comfortable and well set up. We will definitely consider going back: it's a great distance for a weekend getaway from Halifax, and the amenities are nice (that sauna!). The only issue we found (because we went to curl up and read books together!) was that the lighting in the main space was not great: a couple of floor lamps would have been great.
