Reasonably priced, older property w/some issues that, if addressed, can make it a repeat stay home
PROS: The host was excellent w/communication; responses were received very quickly. Location was perfect for us (i.e., very close to our event @ Marriott Westchase). Furniture was adequate. It was nice to have a TV that gets some channels by default (seems most rentals require you to put in your own credentials to stream).
CONS: It is an older home in need of some work. Bathrooms need updating. Some cabinets in the hallways would not close completely. The backdoor lock would occasionally stick, and was fairly inadequate in general; a better lock and/or a bar for the runner track would provide a little more security. The yard was fenced, but had areas where smaller pets could easily get out. A previous renter had not picked up after what was clearly a very large dog, so navigating the "minefield" was challenging. There were no washcloths or hand towels; contact w/the host revealed they were supposed to be some present, but the housecleaner may have taken them home to launder. The primary bath needs a longer shower curtain; it's about a foot too short, so water gets everywhere! The bed in the primary bedroom was really lacking in terms of linens; it had just a sheet set (fitted+flat) and a thin blanket that was too small for a king-sized bed. The light in that bath flickers and the one in the closet was out completely. Providing boxes of issues and a second nightstand in the primary bedroom would be nice add-ons.
OVERALL: Great host w/a reasonable home; just needs some tweaks!
