Davinas - The Beach House

Opening to guests mid January 2024, Davinas - The Beach House is the kiwi beach holiday dream, right on Coopers Beach.

Get together in the spacious living, breakfast bar and dining table area, or have quiet time with 3 bedrooms, and relax...there are no bathroom queues...we have 3.
Meals? You have a full-sized kitchen with several prep areas, 5 burner hob and 2 ovens, use the BBQ, or head out to the nearby cafes and restaurants.

Follow the sun on the wrap around deck or follow the short path to the beach for long walks, swimming and fishing in all tides.

Kayaks, bodyboards and a paddleboard are available for sea-lovers, or stay on terra-firma and be king of the sand-castles, building your sand-mansion in the shade of the pohutukawa trees.

Coopers Beach Village (3min drive) has all the essentials for your holiday including a Four Square, Butcher, Beach Box Cafe, Thirsty Liquor, Pharmacy, Tackle Shop, Medical Centre and hair salon.

Or head in the other direction to Mangonui Village for arts and crafts, fabulous ice-cream shop (c'mon ice-cream nachos!), restaurants and cafes including the famous Mangonui Fish Shop!

Mill Bay boat ramp is 3 min drive - bring your boat and explore the harbour!

We're still getting the house ready for you so we don't have pro photos or indeed any photos of bedrooms 2 and 3 yet but they're coming soon!

Wonderful Getaway Spot

A group of 6 of us stayed here for a leisurely long weekend. It's a stunning spot with a great view from the house and balcony, was very clean with easy access to the beach. The huge kitchen was great for cooking for all of us and we had everything we needed. Loved every minute. Thank you.

Great house, suited all our requirements. We were unaware there was an apartment under the house, which luckily was not occupied. I was under the impression when I booked it was a stand alone house. Brett was very quick and helpful with my questions.

Wonderful location, stunning views, very comfortable & spacious house. Comfy beds, good quality linen and towels, very well equipped kitchen etc. Well set up for longer stays, we appreciated the dressers for storage, the use of games, puzzles, toys... even a guitar! Along with the paddle board and kayak we were all kept very happy. Several of our family members wanted to move in permanently!! We visited in the autumn school holidays (April), as a much more affordable alternative to an intended family holiday to Rarotonga... really glad we chose Coopers Beach instead as we preferred it to our previous experience in Rarotonga (which we also loved). The beach was much nicer and better for swimming, walking & playing while still very safe. Our accommodation at Davina's House was far superior and the atmosphere in Coopers Beach was really relaxed and laid back, the tropical vegetation also helped give the feeling that we were a long way from home. Coming from Hawke's Bay we were surprised at how different it felt. Conditions were warm, 'shorts & t-shirt' weather, water temp fine for swimming even for young children (4&7 y/o). Hopefully we manage to come back some time soon!
