This was our third stay in this condo. We love it. This time we had beautiful weather and could enjoy the sunny living room and small patio. A hummingbird visited one morning! No trouble with the door lock this time. Appreciate the recycling and composting facilities (which you can find downstairs in the parking garage by taking the elevator near the trash chute.) Checkout duties are very minimal compared to some other listings, contrary to another reviewer. For a full review, please read my previous descriptions of this property.

PERFECTION

Lovely, spacious apartment with all the amenities we needed. Great communications with the host. Loved the location and convenient parking. Would be happy to stay there again

Hi Carlos, we want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take the cleanliness of our properties seriously! We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- We provide decorative shams on the beds as pictured, along with a full set of sleeping pillows with white pillowcases, all professionally laundered after each stay.- We use a professional cleaning service to make sure all bedding and linens are fresh and ready for every guest.- The Amtrak station is nearby and trains typically run every 2 to 3 hours during the day, between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., according to an Amtrak representative.Thanks for taking the time to leave your review!

Comfortable, quiet, lovely

Very nice unit with outdoor terrace. Nicely decorated, completely function. Good neighborhood, great location with plenty of walkability. Surprisingly quiet. Owner is very generous to share this unit with VRBO clients.

Very Poor Experience

Owners were extremely dishonest with the booking process suggesting my reservation was fraudulent. We had a CONFIRMED reservation and then the back morning we were traveling

Hi Timothy, we’re disappointed to see this rating, especially since you didn’t stay at the property. Due to last-minute booking and payment concerns, the reservation was flagged as potentially fraudulent and canceled to protect the host and home. We regret any inconvenience and issued a full refund.

Lovely condo in upscale building. Secure, with advanced fire safety. Clean, nicely decorated. Small, attractive patio. Good kitchen. Very sunny, usually a big plus, though we arrived during a heat wave. Opened screened door & windows in the evening and used tower fans in bedrooms. Did not use portable room a/c in living room. May need additional screens in the future if heat waves increase. (Building has central a/c but not in units, I think.) Easier stay this time without car, but garage parking space is secure. Short walk over pedestrian bridge to Emeryville markets. Bus from Amtrak station next door serves BART. (No train noise to speak of. Unit does not face tracks.) Only issue was lock on condo door inexplicably locked us out one day. Still not sure why, but after nearly an hour we got in. Recommend, will stay again, though I do fear the door lock. N.B. Ensuite bathroom has no door from primary bedroom. Also, pack kleenex as well as shampoo & conditioner if you prefer dedicated products. (TP and shower gel/body wash are stocked.) I didn't see laundry detergent for the washing machine, but I travel with dry strips such as TruEarth so may not have looked everywhere.We place a high value on extended checkouts when we have an afternoon flight, and that was no problem.

Quick summary, positives and negatives:(+) Beautiful patio and outdoor garden space(+) Good supply of dishes, cups, and silverware(+) Conference room and other amenities on property(-) Major WiFi reliability issues - complete disconnections multiple times daily requiring router resets(-) Significant ant problem throughout unit including in beds (guests were bitten)(-) Access code didn't work at check-in, requiring troubleshooting(-) Only one key card provided for building access(-) Harsh white LED lighting throughout(-) No door on master bedroom bathroom(-) Bright exterior light shines directly into master bedroom through non-blackout blinds(-) Kitchen poorly equipped (except for dishes/silverware)(-) Floor lamp in bedroom non-functional(-) Owner dismissive of WiFi issues, suggested using personal hotspot instead(-) Demanding checkout process (10am, strip beds, run dishwasher, remove all trash) despite multiple issues(-) Sketchy location with unsafe parking suggestion under a bridge during checkin(-) High price point not justified given the problems**Overall:** While the outdoor space was lovely and the owner initially responsive, persistent technology issues, pest problems, and poor customer service when addressing concerns made this an overpriced and frustrating stay. The combination of WiFi failures during work meetings, ant bites, and dismissive responses to legitimate issues created a disappointing experience that didn't match the premium pricing.

Here are some additional details from the homeowner: Pest Control: After your stay, a pest control service found no signs of infestation. We will continue to monitor the property closely. WiFi Issues: We confirmed with Xfinity that all equipment was functioning. Certain VPNs and high data usage may have caused connectivity issues. As a workaround, you can cast your phone to the TV or use the conference room provided. Ensuite Bathroom Layout: The open en suite bathroom layout is typical for similar units, but there are two six-foot long mirrored closets before entering the main bathroom for added privacy and convenience. Check-Out Process: Our simplified checkout requires minimal duties. We appreciate guests emptying the trash in the chute down the hall. Please return the key fob and card at checkout. We will clarify the check-in time of 4:00 p.m. and checkout at 11:00 a.m. in our listing. Access: The building access code was provided prior to your visit, allowing you to enter without issues. Access: The unit#402 access code was provided prior to your visit, allowing you to enter without issues. Parking: We provide one key card for the garage, which accommodates one vehicle only. Kitchen Equipment: The kitchen is fully equipped (microwave, gas cooktop and oven, refrigerator with ice maker, a DeLonghi coffee maker, teapot, toaster, milk frother, coffee grinder, and a mixer.
