The townhouse was incredibly clean -- kudos to the cleaning crew! That said, the unit needs much TLC to reach its potential. The beds were comfortable but the rest of the furniture shows significant wear and pillows need to be replaced; some kitchen cabinets and drawers are broken and some nonstick pans were too scratched to be usable; the nice dishwasher was crusted in minerals (we opted not to use it).Upgrading the toilet paper and bath towels and providing one more tiny bar soap would go a long way to making this feel more like a vacation rental than a cheap motel. We split a bar soap in half to have hand soap in the kitchen, and we bought toilet paper. We also found the unit lacked the typical Tahoe "extras" like board games (the only puzzle was missing pieces), even a pen for score-keeping, or sleds and sand toys that are typical. There were also no instructions on how or where to access the pool/hot tub. Again though, the place was incredibly clean. The host company was also flexible and responsive, allowing us to extend 1 night because of a snow storm. With a small investment in maintenance, an updated "how to" guide, and a few extras (a couple games), this stay could have been 5 stars.
