Perfect spot for exploring the Loire Valley with family

We spent a week here in early July, exploring the chateaus of the Loire Valley. It was lovely - the apartment offered everything we needed.

A wonderful attic apartment in Amboise

My wife, son and I stayed at Claude’s wonderful attic apartment. It was right in the middle of town easy to everything getting in and getting out or easy. It had everything we needed for a three day day and we would recommend it highly to our friends if and when they head to that part of the world.

Great place to stay in Amboise

Very good and convenient accommodation. Two flights of stairs up but very manageable. The accommodation had all the facilities we needed and Claude was very helpful.

Location is incredible

The location is absolutely incredible in the shadow of the castle. Claude is lovely to work with, and we love the view from our windows.

Some time in the Loire Valley

We had a wonderful stay here. The check in was easy, Claude picked us up from the station in Amboise and his son returned us to the station on our way home. The property is close to everything.

Super convenient to everything in Amboise

Very nice, charming apartment in a historic building, but modern amenities. The location is extremely close to the tourist attractions that Amboise offers (chateau, shopping, restaurants all 1-5 minutes on foot). Highly recommend!

Wonderful grenier in Amboise

This is a spacious and charmingly appointed attic apartment in the heart of the old city of Amboise very near the Chateau. It is well equipped with anything one might need. The host is friendly, helpful and very pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Charming apartment in perfect location.

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay here. Claude is a very accommodating host. The apartment has plenty of old world character but has also been updated to a high level of comfort. We were able to walk to many shops, restaurants and sights including the castle. We would definitely return if we are in Amblise again.

Amboise stay

The location was perfect. We could walk everywhere in town. As americans we had some difficulty finding the parking spot..those are places people from the midwest don't think are places we can drive! But we were greatful to have a designated spot for our trips to the chateaus.

The location is great, close to the castle and several good restaurants. Amboise is a charming town. Claude, our host was extremely nice. He even drove us to the train station.

Steps from Amboise Castle

Adorable, spotless, well-appointed apartment a couple short blocks from Amboise Castle. You can see the castle from the window! Host especially warm and welcoming. Parking is a few blocks away in a private lot.

Great apartment - great position

A really good apartment with all we needed for a week’s stay. Very close to the centre and all its amenities. The covered private parking is very handy in a town which is very cramped for space! If you choose your time, you can park right outside for a very reasonable parking fee. All in all, I would heartily recommend this apartment. Claude is very accommodating and responsive - a perfect host!

Excellent location, walk to Amboise castle and shopping

We loved the attic of Orange! There was plenty of for our family of 5. The apartment had everything we needed. The manager was kind, and helped us with everything we needed, and all items were high quality and charming. The parking option was what we needed. The location was excellent. We could easily walk to Amboise castle and shopping. Would highly recommend.

Quaint apartment in wonderful location!

We enjoyed our stay very much! The apartment has historic charm, which I appreciate. Everything we needed was there, except for some sort of soap or body wash for the shower. Checking in and out could be inconvenient, as Claude needs to be present to deliver and receive keys back. That helped explaining how the outer door locks and unlocks and explaining where the parking spot is. The spot is a little distance away, but considering how hard it is to find an open spot in that area, I’m grateful it was available.Claude was very gracious and the welcoming bottle of sparkling wine was so nice.

Fantastic Host & Accommodations!

We are grateful to have had the pleasure of booking with a Super host of a Super property. The property is perfectly located around the corner from one of the cutest streets in Amboise. The property itself is comfortable and equipped with everything you need. What’s more, the host went above and beyond anything we ever imagined by not only picking us up at the train station, but by dropping us off for our departure. If you are looking at staying in Amboise, I highly recommend booking this property immediately!

An excellent experience

Staying at this charming attic apartment was an excellent experience. The lodging is clean, nicely furnished and had everything we needed. It was cozy and warm during our winter stay. An added plus is a dedicated parking spot close by. The apartment is located just below the chateau and a block from the pedestrian area with great restaurants and shops. The view of the chateau at night was wonderful. Don’t miss the Friday and Sunday markets by the river. Our host was very accommodating and has good maps and guides in the apartment. We highly recommend using Amboise as your home base when visiting the chateaux and wineries of the region.

We’ve never been to Amboise, but we’ll be back. It is an amazing town with so much to see, and the “Attic” is a hidden gem. It is literally half a block from our now favorite bakery located on the main pedestrian street in the village. Within walking distance is the Chateau of Amboise, Leonardo DiVinci’s home/museum, and the Loire River. It is within driving distance to countless Chateaus of the Loire Valley. The apartment was clean and recently refurbished, it worked great for our needs. It is an “attic” so there are stairs. Fans are included and help but on days above 95 degrees Fahrenheit it is still difficult to cool down. Claude, the host, was great and provided many suggestions for the region. When we return to Amboise, we’ll definitely stay in the Attic again and have provided recommendations to my wife’s family to stay there. (She is originally from France and still has family there.)

A lovely and spacious home

Claude was the perfect host, meeting us at the apartment and helping us find our reserved parking spot. He provided us with a helpful map and answered our questions. He also had a lovely bottle of bubbly waiting for us! The apartment itself was well-appointed, spacious, and close to the historic center of Amboise. We could even see the castle from our window! We had a wonderful stay and it was a pleasure meeting Claude.

We loved this place. Claude was amazing, driving us to and from the train station. The apartment is beautifully furnished and well supplied, and the location is unbeatable. The beds are soft, and you have to climb two flights of stairs, but we were fine with that. Great to catch up on laundry. We were a bit concerned that you couldn’t get out the front door without a key — might be a fire hazard? Overall, highly recommended. Would stay there again, and recommend it to friends.

Good location

Family of 5 enjoyed this 2 bedroom apartment, with one child sleeping on the couch. Plenty of space in apartment and kitchen well equipped for our needs. Great location for walking to bakery and restaurants. They had a cute little high chair that my 2 year old loved. Nice peek at the castle through the window too. Only a shower, no tub, wasn’t a problem for us, but I know it is for some. The parking is a bit of a walk but I think that’s just how it is in this area. We were glad to have a reserved spot.

Cozy apartment

My family and I stayed for 3 night in this apartment in Amboise and it was one our favorite for the whole trip. Everything we could need was stocked, allowing us to use a close by grocery store to cook dinner. The apartment was in walking distance to all the sights. The only thing to know about this place, to me, is that there are several flights of steps up, but the building seemed empty, so it was very quiet. The other bit was the parking space provided was a little difficult to find and in the back of a crowded space. Neither of these things would stop me from returning, it was a very comfortable place for our family to stay. Thanks!

Wonderful apartment

Three friends and I stayed at this lovely apartment for 5 nights. It is very comfortable with a modern and well equipped kitchen and bath, with lots of thoughtful touches. There is a view of the castle from a window and the apartment was right in the middle of Amboise. We had a terrific time and Elizabeth was very helpful. Furnishings are very nice and beds are comfortable. However the apartment is two flights up and the dedicated parking space is about 5 blocks away. So if people have mobility issues, this might be a problem. But for everyone else, I would recommend highly.
