We had an excellent stay here. This is brilliant gîte and we were delighted with the property. The kitchen very well equipped with all the necessities and bed and living area very comfortable.Unfortunately we couldn't make the most of the excellent garden due to poor weather but luckily it was very cosy inside to escape from the rain and relax.Highly recommended if you are visiting Amboise.

A charming house very good located next to all touristic attractions of Amboise. Calm area, beautiful night sky, clear space and well equipped kitchen. There is no WiFi, which is a pitty. But there is a lot to do to keep kids occupied in the region! We anjoyed especually the garden and the time we spent in the house. Thank you!

Wonderful location & beautiful cottage

We loved our stay at the cottage; its location was perfect - just a 5-7 minute walk to the town center. The cottage itself was so much more spacious than we anticipated; it was more luxurious for us than our hotel in Reims! The grounds were so lovely and lush and we enjoyed the privacy and peacefulness of the property. We would not hesitate again to rent this great little cottage in Amboise!

Lovely French cottage!

Beautiful, spacious and very clean and comfortable cottage! The parking instructions were a little hard to follow, but that was more a language barrier than anything. Once we found parking nearby, all was well! We especially loved the proximity to Clos de Luce! What a treat! The bathroom needed a floor mat of some kind, but we ended up using the extra towel. Keep in mind the restroom is on the first floor and the bedrooms are on the second. Overall a perfect stay!

A gorgeous home

Perfect location to see 2 castles and the home of Leonardo da Vinci during his last years. We had some trouble finding it but it turned out to be under our noses! Be aware that it is on a hill and there are about 40 steps to climb. Good exercise but could be problem if you have health problems.

Our stay in amboise

A very traditional french gite in a super location near clos luce. The garden was delightful . The steps up to the house were fine for us but could be an issue for someone less mobile. The inside of the house was nice but in general needed a little spruce up. Very loud creaky stairs so anyone of the 4 of us going downstairs to the toilet in the night woke everyone else up. We had a problem with ants both upstairs and down. But the house was well equipped and at less than 10 minutes walk to town we enjoyed our visit there.

Great location BUT......... House poorly managed. It needs some TLC both inside & outside; several items were broken or dangerous, like the slippery shower & electric kettle without a lid! With Long COVID the 40 steps up from the road & 10 minutes walk to get the car were not fun!

Small country house that will not please demanding holidaymakers. Please read the ad carefully next time. To say that a house is badly managed because I didn't roll out the red carpet or welcome you is rather excessive. An autonomous arrival with key box is well detailed in the ad. Just like the access to it, it is well detailed in the ad "not recommended for people with reduced mobility". Please pay attention next time. There are stairs to get to the gite (and almost none of my guests have complained about this, as they know how quiet it is once they've climbed those few steps). The free parking lots are 300m from the gite ..more than 10min to go is for your case, because you come out of a long covid as explained in your feedback via abritel... Please do not make things worse in future comments. Anything can be dangerous for a person with reduced mobility, like a shower... Unfortunately, I can't build a safe shower for PRM at the last minute... For the kettle thank you for the precision I did not know that it was defective ... and it will be replaced without worries for the next vacationers. Thank you for choosing a house adapted to your needs and situation in the future. This will avoid disappointments and comments that do not accurately reflect the reality of things.

Quintessential Gite

Good directions to property which included photos including access gate, key box and code. Free parking near-by. Advertised as quiet, but not so. The property is opposite a popular chateau visited by groups of children amongst others, which can be quite excited and noisy; there is also the continued noise of recorded information broadcast through speakers to the visitors. Saying that, it does go quiet in the evening and is peaceful through the night.The property is well fitted (perhaps a little too much - obviously collected over the years or left through inheritance) with lots of crockery and cutlery but the dishwater is too small to accommodate the large plates. Plenty of outdoor garden space with tables, chairs and lounges - short of nothing, there is even an old electric guitar but no amp, and a bicycle parked in the garden, which we didn't try.The property is exceedingly clean but looking a little tired with some chipped paintwork (stairs for example) - perhaps in need of decorating throughout.The bedrooms are in the roof-space with Velux windows. It was hot during our May stay and could possible be too hot during the peak summer months.Nicely positioned to explore this town and surrounding area.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'emplacement du gîte, sa vue sur le château du Clos Lucé et les arbres du parc est très appréciable. Le jardin est vaste et très joli, nous y avons vu un écureuil qui s'y promenait et de nombreux oiseaux. Aux beaux jours, cela doit être très agréable avec la terrasse. L'atmosphère de la maison est très agréable avec la cuisine ouverte sur le salon/salle à manger, la décoration dans un style naturel et délicat et les éclairages. La literie est très confortable. Les équipements sont bien pensés. L'hôte est très réactive, à l'écoute et à notre disposition même si nous avons eu uniquement un échange par messagerie. Notre hôte a réalisé un carnet d'accueil très complet pour les visites alentours.

Schönes einfaches Haus, Temperatur im Schlafzimmer war Anfang Mai super, wird aber im Sommer könnte es sehr warm werden. Leider gab es kein WLAN.Sehr hilfsbereite Verwalterin.

Quelques jours de rêve à Amboise !

Nous venons de passer quelques jours en famille à Amboise. Le gîte tout près du Clos Lucé est très joli et très bien situé. Nous avons tout fait a pied, ou presque. Ophelie a été très disponible et son accueil est parfait. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Bien situé à Amboise, à côté du Clos Lucé et à 10 minutes à pieds du centre-ville.

Nous avons passé 3 jours à Amboise, avec comme objectif premier la visite du Clos Lucé. La ville est assez attractive pour ne pas s'ennuyer en 3 jours : très beau et très grand marché le dimanche matin, centre-ville animé, île d'or avec son canoë et la piscine vétuste mais agréable.

Super Lage

Das schöne Haus ist sehr ruhig gelegen und dabei sehr zentral. Der Parkplatz ist zwar nicht direkt vor der Haustür. Aber wir fanden es nicht schlimm, ein paar Meter laufen zu müssen. Zum Haus gehört ein relativ großer Garten, teils schattig, teils sonnig. Die Betten sind gut. Die Dachfenster in den Schlafzimmern lassen sich sehr gut verdunkeln. Die Ausstattung ist vollständig, nur sollten einige Töpfe und Pfannen durch neue ersetzt werden (Beschichtung defekt).

Nettes Häuschen, gute Lage

Das Ferienhaus hat eine ideale Lage, in Stadtnähe, aber ruhig. Wir haben abends die Terrasse genossen. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war sehr gut. Es gibt einen Punkt Abzug, da im deutschen Inserat nicht drinsteht, dass für Bettwäsche und Handtücher eine Pauschale anfällt und der öffentliche Parkplatz ca. 200 m entfernt ist. WiFi wäre noch schön. Ansonsten aber zu empfehlen.
