Icena" is an old sheep station lovingly revitalised to now provide a range of versatile self-catering accommodation options. Icena Farm offers quality self-contained accommodation in Tasmania’s remote northeast. The perfect starting point for Bay of Fires walkers, Icena is ideal for families, special interest groups, adventure tourists.

Platypus House is a comfortable and accessible, air-conditioned (heat-pump) fully furnished four bedroom home with two bathrooms, a living area with TV and kitchen. Two of the bedrooms each contain a queen-sized and single bed. The other two bedrooms contain two single beds each. Electric blankets on all beds.

The accommodation suited our family group, we travelled to Little Musslroe Bay, so the location was good for us. I think the cows were a highlight in the morning delightful to listen to them and then dusk driving to see the wildlife .

Spacious accommodation and beautiful location

Was a good location for our last night in Tasmania. Enjoyed the remoteness of the stay. Space would be great for a group to use as a base to explore the area.

Home away from home

Spacious getaway destination for a group of friends or large family. Great inside and out. Gateway to beautiful mt William national park and pristine beaches. Owners are very approachable and cooperative.

Great property with exceptional hosts

We stayed at Platypus House during severe storm weather. Our hosts made sure we had everything we needed to ensure the accommodation and our stay was not impacted by the weather. The house was clean, tidy and lovely to stay in
